Having previously run the Kickstarter route and been set for launch across PC and console, today comes news that the Baladins hype has grown, as Seed by Seed join forces with Armor Games Studios.

Armor Games Studios, publishers of Bear and Breakfast, Snacko and The Spirit and the Mouse, have today confirmed their partnership with Seed By Seed to publish the upcoming multiplayer adventure game Baladins!

Successfully funded on Kickstarter last year, Baladins is a choose-your-own-story multiplayer game that handles anything between 1-4 players online and local, with the gameplay fully  inspired by tabletop RPGs, designed to be played in hour-long sessions. It’s a game that will let you choose between four lovable heroes (the legendary Baladins) on a noble quest to bring hope and joy to the people. Each party member will make critical choices that bring consequences both to the story and the fantasy world around them.

“We had been following Armor Games and its publishing team for a while and felt their values aligned with ours,” said Jean Nicolas, Co-Founder of Seed By Seed. “So, we were really happy to have a talk about Baladins, and we thought the game would fit well in Armor Games’ portfolio. They proposed a plan that would allow us to build the full game we had in mind, to bring new features and content that were important to us. So that was working great! And they seemed to genuinely like the game! That is very encouraging. You’d want to work with people enthusiastic about your project, it makes all the difference.”

The collaboration also feels like a natural fit to Armor Games Studios: “Magic, dragons, buff catfolk heroes… come on, how could we not love Baladins?” said Director of Games Dora Breckinridge. “It provides a bridge for newcomers to tabletop gaming, while also giving a fresh, fun take for folks who have been playing for years. Plus it has a goblin wearing a pot. What more could the heart desire?”

We’ll find out more about the whole Baladins side quests in the near future, but for now you could do worse than give the game a little hit on the Steam wishlist.
