Some games are all about speed. Others are about slowing down and really looking. Around The World in 80 Days: Hidden Objects is most definitely one of the latter, turning a classic adventure tale into a globe-trotting search for clues, details, and cleverly hidden objects.
Now available across Xbox and PC, this is less about racing the clock and more about taking in each location – even if there’s a mystery unfolding in the background.

A Familiar Journey With A Twist
Inspired by Jules Verne’s famous adventure, the game follows Phileas Fogg and Passepartout as they travel across the globe. But this isn’t just about beating a deadline.
There’s a mystery running alongside the journey, with a Bank of England robbery tying everything together. As you move from country to country, you’re not just sightseeing – you’re piecing together clues and following a trail that stretches across the world.
The core of the experience revolves around hidden object gameplay – something we honed many a year ago when we spent a whole week playing games from Artifex Mundi. It’s similar here, as each scene is packed with detail, asking you to pick out specific items from busy environments.
Markets, streets, and landmarks are filled with distractions, and that’s where the challenge comes in. Objects blend into the background, forcing you to slow down and really scan each area.
There’s also some variety mixed in, with puzzle elements and spot-the-difference style challenges helping to break things up as you progress.
A Relaxed Experience With A Light Story Thread
Around The World in 80 Days: Hidden Objects doesn’t try to overwhelm. It keeps things accessible, offering a laid-back experience that’s easy to dip into.
And at ÂŁ5.99 from the Xbox Store, this is very much a pick-up-and-play experience, something you can drop into for a few minutes or settle into for a longer session.
Available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC with Play Anywhere support, it’s a solid option for players who enjoy slower, more methodical gameplay. You could say that it’s a trip that is easy to recommend.
If you’re happy to take your time, look a little closer, and enjoy the journey rather than rush it, this is one trip that’s easy to recommend.
