Fancy reliving the epic lightsaber battles of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace? In 2025 you’ll get to do just that with the release of STAR WARS Episode I: Jedi Power Battles.

Aspyr, in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, have announced STAR WARS Episode I: Jedi Power Battles, a remastered and enhanced version of the classic action game.

A Jedi Power Trip

Coming to Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on January 23rd 2025, this reimagining promises a nostalgic blast from the past with modern upgrades and exciting new features.

STAR WARS Episode I: Jedi Power Battles thrusts you into the heart of the action, allowing you to wield the Force and your lightsaber as iconic Jedi like Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Qui-Gon Jinn.

And of course, you’ll get to battle through familiar locations from the film, including Theed Palace, and confront hordes of droids, assassins, and other formidable foes.

Enhanced for a New Generation

This isn’t just a simple port; Aspyr has meticulously enhanced the game for modern platforms, offering:

  • Enhanced Gameplay: Experience smoother controls, refined gameplay mechanics, and updated visuals.
  • Unlocked Characters and Levels: All secret characters and levels from the original game are unlocked from the start, including Darth Maul, Captain Panaka, and Queen Amidala.
  • New Playable Characters: Discover 13 new playable characters to unlock, such as the Rifle Droid, Tusken Raider, and more.
  • Couch Co-op: Team up with a friend in two-player couch co-op mode and conquer the campaign together.
  • New Features and Modes: Enjoy modern control options, toggle lightsaber colors, activate classic cheat codes, and explore the Versus and Training modes.

A Celebration of a Classic

This release marks the 25th anniversary of the original STAR WARS Episode I: Jedi Power Battles, offering a nostalgic experience for longtime fans and a thrilling new adventure for newcomers.

You probably know that Aspyr has a long history of bringing classic Star Wars games to modern platforms, having previously done so with successful revivals of titles like STAR WARS: Bounty Hunter, STAR WARS: Knights of the Old Republic, and STAR WARS: Republic Commando.
