Assault Android Cactus hits Xbox One with a free trial!

-

Twin stick shooting is a genre close to my heart – so when a new twin-sticker arrives on Xbox One, the excitement meter starts to rise. And that excitement is definitely rising as Assault Android Cactus hits Xbox One… especially as it comes with a free trial attached. What’s not to like?

Available on Xbox One right now, Assault Android Cactus is a twin sticker that takes us through the story of Constable Cactus. Coming with the smoothest of twin stick shooting mechanics, it’ll be up to you to take on the role of Cactus (or one of a number of other saviours who all come with their own unique weapons) as she helps save a space freighter from being taken down by its own workers.

It’s fast, it’s fluid and it’s full of action, as bullets fly and multiple enemies are downed. Whether you wish to take to the action alone, with the AI alongside you, or with a friend for help matters little as Assault Android Cactus delivers the goods.

Our full review will be with you soon, but for now we highly advise you get over to the Microsoft Store and grab Assault Android Cactus. If you don’t think you can stretch to the £11.99 price tag, then the very least you should be doing is downloading the free trial.

Game Description:

When you’re running on battery, make every second count! Assault Android Cactus is an arcade style twin stick shooter set in a vivid sci fi universe. Junior Constable Cactus is outside her pay grade when she responds to a distress call and ends up stranded on a crippled space freighter under attack by its own robot workers. Utilising a draining battery mechanic in place of lives, Assault Android Cactus challenges you to think fast and keep the bullets flying, blending the gameplay of western styled arena shooters with aspects of Japanese style bullet hell as you charge head first through transforming stages, massive boss battles and an eclectic cast of characters on the way to saving the day.
