Survivors, a new and perilous landmass has emerged from the fog as Rebellion sends us off to the Wicked Isle, the first story expansion pack for their UK-based post-apocalyptic survival-action game, Atomfall.
This significant new chapter invites players to explore a mysterious island off the Cumberland coast, packed with new quests, terrifying enemies, valuable loot, and deeper narrative threads.
The Atomfall: Story Expansion Pack – Wicked Isle is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC (and via Steam & Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
Venture to the Wicked Isle
Priced at £16.74, the Wicked Isle expansion beckons the brave (or foolish) to a secluded, fog-shrouded location known as Midsummer Island. Once home to a creepy old fishing village, its inhabitants haven’t been seen for years. To reach it, players must seek out the boat-keeper on the jetty in Wyndham Village, who will provide initial leads into the island’s mysteries.
This expansion significantly builds upon the main Atomfall narrative:
- New Region to Explore: Midsummer Island, located perilously close to the Windscale Atom Plant, features higher levels of infection and unique environmental challenges.
- Continue the Story: Uncover new leads that intertwine with the core Atomfall mystery, expanding the overarching story.
- New Escape Routes & Endings: The discoveries made on Wicked Isle can open up new potential routes out of the Quarantine Zone and even unlock new endings for the main game.

“Midsummer is located close to the Windscale Atom Plant and as a result the levels of infection in both the people and environment are higher than on the mainland,” explained Ben Fisher, Head of Design at Rebellion. “You are going to meet new enemy factions including pirate bandits and infected druids. To help you survive there are new weapons to be found on the island including a devastating Blunderbuss shotgun, a new bow, cutlass, daggers and the Beekeeper’s Staff. You will also be able to acquire new skills which will aid you on your quest as well as an upgraded metal detector which will enable you find even more loot caches.”

The Atomfall: Story Expansion Pack – Wicked Isle is available for standalone purchase for £16.74. It is also included for owners of the Atomfall Deluxe Edition or the Deluxe Upgrade Pack.
Furthermore, Game Pass subscribers will benefit from a 10% discount when purchasing the Wicked Isle expansion separately.
Expanding the Atomfall Mystery
