Darren Edwards

I have been playing games since a very early age, thanks to my Dad's encouragement. I've been an Xbox gamer since the very beginning, the Master Chief is to thank for that. I'm also a big Nintendo geek, and my other half is a PlayStation nut. I'll play pretty much anything in any genre (although FIFA and COD maybe pushing it).

Slave Zero X Review

Slave Zero X will certainly put a smile on the face of those who played the original in the late '90s, and oozes a distinct biopunk style.

Freedom Planet 2 Review

Freedom Planet 2 evokes so much of what makes a great platformer, but feels a little bloated in parts.

Turbo Golf Racing Review

You'll really enjoy what Turbo Golf Racing offers, and it is perfect for shorter gaming sessions.

The Mobius Machine Review

Despite nothing in particular wowing in The Mobius Machine, that won't stop you from playing until the very end.

Super Perils of Baking Review

Super Perils of Baking nails its theme, but a few small nuggets aren’t enough to prevent it feeling like a run of the mill platformer. Achievement hunters and completionists will benefit the most from this one.

Evil Dead: The Game Review

Evil Dead: The Game feels like a missed opportunity from Saber Interactive, which is especially disappointing after the excellent World War Z

Research and Destroy Review

Research and Destroy feels like a refreshing change of pace thanks to its blend of turn based strategy and real time action.

Looking Back to the launch of Grand Theft Auto III – Welcome to Liberty City

Blast Brigade Vs the Evil Legion of Dr. Cread Review

Blast Brigade Vs the Evil Legion of Dr. Cread has plenty of hidden depths, despite the fact the journey is something of a bumpy one. If you can see past the occasional gripe, there’s an engaging adventure here that is difficult to put down.

Looking Back to 2017 with Prey

No, you aren’t going mad. Prey did indeed come out in 2017, and it is not to be confused with the original that landed many years ago in 2006. The game that we are looking back upon here is a reimagining of the IP, as opposed to a direct sequel or remake.

Anuchard Review

Anuchard is a solid adventure which should keep most invested until the end. Despite some balance issues, there’s no getting away from the fact that all the components are here for an engaging and enjoyable experience.

Thunder Kid: Hunt for the Robot Emperor Review

Thunder Kid: Hunt for the Robot Emperor has little more than a gimmick to offer, and even this has a very limited appeal. Unfortunately, it all means this is a game reduced to a slightly more expensive way than usual to farm some Xbox Gamerscore.

Looking Back to 2012 with Trials Evolution

Trials Evolution is still one of the finest examples of a modern arcade game out there today.

Glam’s Incredible Run: Escape from Dukha Review

Glam’s Incredible Run: Escape from Dukha is a fundamentally flawed game which offers something for the platforming sadists out there, but not enough to recommend it to everyone else.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Review

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga oozes the feel good factor. It’s a comprehensively charming and loving tribute to the source material that also happens to be the biggest and best LEGO game to date.

Looking Back to 2007 and the Xbox release of Guitar Hero II

The setlist in a Guitar Hero game is absolutely key to its success and the importance of it should not be underestimated. Guitar Hero II had an impressive roster of songs

Disciples: Liberation Review

Despite the gameplay not being quite as deep as you may expect, Disciples: Liberation offers up an attractive, if limited, world which is exciting to explore.

Frightence Review

Despite being short, linear and fairly simple, Frightence does a good job of throwing you into the centre of a horror experience.
