XENOTILT: HOSTILE PINBALL ACTION Review

If you fancy yourself as a bit of a pinball wizard, XENOTILT: HOSTILE PINBALL ACTION is the right amount of challenge for you. For newcomers, it may prove to be a bit too tricky at first, mainly due to the high difficulty and lack of real explanation as to what is going on.

Sonic Forces Review

Sonic Forces is the second Sonic game to be released in 2017, following the release of the well-received Sonic Mania back in August. Whereas Mania focused on the 2D games of Sonic’s glory days, Sonic Forces keeps the series going forward featuring both Classic and Modern Sonic in a trend started back with Sonic Generations. Can Sonic Forces buck the declining trend and feature Modern Sonic in a good Sonic game?

Road Rash styled Road Rage now finally available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC

The Road Rash games were classic of the '90s, often being described as beat ‘em ups on two wheels. Sadly, after the release of Road Rash: Jailbreak, the series disappeared. Road Rage is here to pick up the pieces almost two decades later.

7 of the best examples of Fireworks in gaming

Remember, remember the 5th of November, as the old saying goes anyways. Bonfire night is the UK's annual tradition of ‘celebrating’ Guy Fawkes and his plot to bomb the Houses of Parliament. It's typically a joyous occasion as communities come together for food, drink and, of course, fireworks. All this is a lot of fun, unless you suffer from anablephobia, the fear of looking up. Of if you are a dog. Well, fear not because we can help by presenting to you the best Fireworks from the gaming scene! So stay inside, grab yourself a Pumpkin Spice Latte, a slice of parkin, and a nice hot bowl of pork pie and mushy peas and watch these digital fireworks instead. It's warmer inside too!

South Park: The Fractured But Whole Review

I was hugely excited for the release of South Park: The Fractured But Whole having been a fan of the show since I was seven and unable to understand the majority of the jokes in it; a particular episode involving the owner of the mobile library having sex with chickens went completely over my head at the time. So excited then, that I had to watch a video on Youtube containing the first X amount of minutes of the game before I got my grubby mitts on my copy.

The Best Indie Games at PLAY Expo Manchester 2017

The list below contains my favourite games from the Play EXPO Manchester that are Xbox bound, but these are just a small offering of what was there. Please therefore think of this, not as a definitive list from the event, but rather an Xbox-definitive list.

Don your Superhero outfit in South Park: The Fractured But Whole and DLC available now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC

Those potty-mouthed kids from Colorado are back but this time they're ripping the superhero genre a new one in South Park: The Fractured But Whole.

What to Expect at Play EXPO Manchester 2017 – now updated with more games!

In a few days, the North will once again be alive with fevered enthusiasm as PLAY Expo returns to Manchester for its 6th year. This is an event that caters for all kinds of gamer, not just our precious Xbox, and with an expected crowd of 25,000 it’s a good job there is something for everyone! But if you are still unsure that Play Expo won’t have what you are looking for then here is a list of just some of the things you can expect:

Sebastian Castellanos returns in The Evil Within 2 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC

Halloween is creeping up on us like a monster in the darkness and this year's big, bad, scary release, The Evil Within 2 has decided to release a little earlier - on another day surrounded by spooky goings-on, Friday 13th October.

Danger Zone Review

As I loaded this game up I was fully expecting Kenny Loggins’ instantly recognisable 80’s classic to start thumping away throughout a montage of crashes and explosions. The fact that the song and this game shared the same name was, in my eyes, surely more than a coincidence. Sadly, after the developers' and engine splash screens, nothing happened. The game just loaded up. In fact, there was no music at all, save for an engine reverberating in the Danger Zone facility. Danger Zone was not off to a good start.

Channel your inner Kenny Loggins as Danger Zone becomes available on Xbox One!

Three Fields Entertainment are back on the Xbox One with their spiritual successor to the Burnout Series in the form of Danger Zone, fresh from releasing their literally smashing game, Dangerous Golf.

Find your inner Ninja as The LEGO NINJAGO Movie Video Game becomes available in the UK on Xbox One, PS4, PC

The LEGO Ninjago Movie is out in cinemas now, and so it only seems right that a video game tie-in also gets its release around the same time. So here it is - finally available in the UK - and available to download, or purchase as an old-school disc, right now!

The Elf on the Shelf: Christmas Heroes Review

Young players who are resistant to a bit of repetition, who thrive on simple platformers with forgiving mechanics AND carry a love for creepy shelf-goblins will find a welcoming game that is perfectly suited to a level a day over advent. For everyone else, we can sneer at The Elf on the Shelf: Christmas Heroes and mutter into our eggnog.

Chicken Run: Eggstraction Review

Chicken Run: Eggstraction may say that it’s family-friendly and co-op, but we’d argue that those are precisely the worst ways to play.
