The Adventures of Panzer: Legacy Collection is a little scrappy on the gameplay front, which isn’t too dissimilar to the NES games that it’s emulating. But it’s also a hoot.
Vindicta isn’t unutterably bad. It has the decency to chuck in some gruesome deaths and tongue-in-cheek dialogue. But in the attempt to be a modern day Se7en, Vindicta is a two, at best.
Dynablaster is fine - a perfectly perfunctory, vanilla version of the party classic. But we couldn’t help thinking about other Bombermen while we were playing it.
Everhood: Eternity Edition is so kaleidoscopic, a macabre Fantasia that massages the eyes, ears and nerves. Nobody is talking about it but everybody should: it’s a cult hit in the making, and now’s your chance to be the one who says ‘I played it before it was cool’.
If the familiarity sounds like it might be comforting rather than galling, then there’s every chance that you will find a rewarding and deep dungeon-crawler in Mystic Gate.
There are still moments when the action is so ludicrous, so expansive, that accuracy and speed doesn’t matter. That’s when Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission is at its best.
PAW Patrol World isn’t made for us adults. It’s Adventure Bay and surrounding areas, with all of the barriers removed. It’s a glorious playset, the entire TV series ready for kids to reach in and enjoy.
