It may be a game that is fast getting long in the tooth, having first released on 3DS back in 2014, but finally Azure Striker GUNVOLT is on Xbox.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, joining previous drops on Nintendo 3Ds, PC, Switch and PS4, Azure Striker GUNVOLT is the cult gaming experience that focuses efforts on a young man with the power – the power of lightning.
Playing out as a 2D action experience and costing £11.63 (yeah, werid amount, we know!) to purchase from the Xbox Store, Azure Striker GUNVOLT should well appeal, no matter whether you’ve played it previously, or are just happening across the series for the first time.
With Azure Striker GUNVOLT 2 due to hit the Xbox Store in mid-July, it would probably make sense to hope into the first game right now, taking in what it is able to deliver and putting you in good stead for the sequel in a few weeks.
Should you decide to take it in, Azure Striker GUNVOLT will ensure you get the chance to try and be reborn as a legend, working a host of battles, going up against a variety of bosses and making the most of the number of abilities that are at your disposal.

- ●Lightning-Based Action – Use your trusty sidearm to tag enemies, then let loose a burst of electricity for massive damage. You can even tag multiple enemies and zap them all simultaneously. Your lightning abilities are not just for defeating enemies, though. Use them to perform various maneuvers such as hovering across hazardous terrain.
- ●Do Battle With a Variety of Bosses – Sumeragi’s most powerful members, with a wide range of personalities, await you at the end of your missions. Battles get heated as bosses unleash their most powerful skills and techniques.
- ●Those for Whom the Muse Sings Shall Turn the Tides of Battle – Even Gunvolt falls in battle sometimes. When this happens, there is a chance that Lumen, aka The Muse, will revive you and grant you a massive power boost. Furthermore, if you manage to amass at least 1000 Kudos during a stage, the BGM will change and Lumen will sing one of her songs for you for as long as you maintain those Kudos. Your Kudos will reset upon taking damage, so keep that no-damage run going for as long as you can!
