2026's Best Games

Bastion Break – now on Xbox and PC

There is no grand army riding to Aurelia’s rescue in Bastion Break. There is no last-minute cavalry charge waiting just over the hill, either. Instead, with the Empire of Valedorn swallowing up the continent one territory at a time, legendary knight Kael Draven has decided to do something wildly sensible: walk straight into enemy land on his own and start cutting through everyone in sight.

Bastion Break is now available on Xbox and PC, delivering a brisk 2D action platformer built around one knight, a great deal of steel and an empire that has rather underestimated the person standing in its way.

One Knight Against An Empire

The Empire of Valedorn is on the march, and Aurelia is next in line. With no force capable of holding back the invasion, Kael Draven heads into hostile territory alone, determined to make the enemy pay for every inch of ground it has taken.

That is the core of Bastion Break: a one-man assault through enemy lines, fortified positions and increasingly dangerous commanders. Kael will need to slash through soldiers, breach strongholds and survive the kind of odds that would normally call for an entire battalion.

Break Through The Enemy Lines

Bastion Break is a 2D action platformer, with the focus firmly on pushing forward through hostile territory. Expect packed enemy encounters, fortresses to storm and plenty of combat as Kael fights his way deeper into Valedorn’s grip.

The game is not dressing up its intentions. This is about charging into the fray, taking down whoever stands in your way and seeing whether one determined knight can make a difference when the odds are stacked this heavily against him.

A Small Price For A Big Fight

Available for ÂŁ4.19, Bastion Break arrives across Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. The Xbox Series X|S version is optimised for current-gen consoles, while three separate versions are available for those looking to pick it up across platforms.

Aurelia is about to fall, the empire is not slowing down, and Kael Draven has decided that somebody has to do something about it. That somebody just happens to be him.
