After a dodgy old 2019 in which the Xbox Games With Gold scheme has had to play second fiddle to the brilliant Xbox Game Pass, 2020 looks set to be a different kettle of fish, particularly if we take the brilliant set of four games that have now been confirmed as Xbox Games With Gold freebies for January 2020.
Kicking off in style, we’ll see 2020 push onwards with four brilliant games given away for free to all Xbox One and Xbox 360 players who just so happen to hold a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription, and it’ll be none other than Batman and Star Wars which lead the line.
From January 1st 2020 and into February itself, we’ll be seeing the following titles gifted for free thanks to the Xbox Games With Gold lineup for January 2020…
- Styx: Shards of Darkness – Xbox One – 1st-31st January 2020
-  Batman: The Telltale Series – The Complete Season (Episodes 1-5) – Xbox One – 16th January– 15th February 2020
- Tekken 6 – Xbox – 1st-15th January 2020
-  LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy – Xbox 360 – 16th-31st January 2020
As you can see, it’ll most certainly be the free love brought about by LEGO Star Wars ad the Telltale version of Batman that plays host to the best of experiences, but that’s not to say that Styx and Tekken won’t be deserving of your time.
We’ll be sure to remind you as and when each game arrives for free, stripped of the usual price tag for a few weeks, but in the meantime you’ll do well to ensure that you’ve got the current freebies under your belt already. That means if you haven’t yet picked up a free copy of Jurassic World Evolution or Insane Robots on Xbox One, or the 360 giveaway of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD via the Games With Gold for December 2019, then you should make it a bit of a priority. Those price cuts won’t last forever you know.
