Beat em back with Drunken Fist 2: Zombie Hangover

drunken fist 2

When the original Drunken Fist staggered onto console at the back end of 2020, we fell into the trap, taking on the walk of shame. And much like any and every drunken night out that went before it (and has come since), we promised – never again. Promises are made to be broken though and today it’s the sequel that is in our sights. Are you ready to live out the life of a drunken old rocker once more, ready to bash the undead into their graves?

Drunken Fist 2: Zombie Hangover looks to follow on from the original Drunken Fist, delivering up a gaming experience that is full of blood and gore, drink and hangovers. It places you in the slightly inebriated shoes of an old rocker who has woken up from his slumber to discover a world full of zombies and the undead. It’s up to him – and therefore, you – to prove once and for all that a fuzzy head can help save the world.

Drunken Fist 2 comes in on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S with a £6.69 price tag in tow. You should expect to be paying roughly that should you prefer to pick the game up on PS4, PS5 or Nintendo Switch too. It’s on Steam for PC should you prefer that way of life.

Drop in to the world of drink (something which we would never condone) and you’ll discover a physics-based beat ’em up that has you pounding the zombie masses like never before. Ragdoll takedowns are commonplace, as is the downing of as much alcohol as is humanly possible. Of course, you’ll need to eat too, if only to save yourself from a hangover from hell.

The key features of the game include:

  • Survive a zombie apocalypse as a hungover rocker!
  • Take down a wide variety of enemy types with unique behaviors.
  • Collect bottles and food as you explore sprawling stages!
  • Fall down a lot and keep getting back up for more.
  • Urinate on opponents, on city streets or wherever you’re standing!

Even though we promised we’d never go back, we’re right in the middle of review of Drunken Fist 2: Zombie Hangover and as such will be delivering some review thoughts your way very soon. Stay tuned for that but if you must jump in prior to those thoughts talking you through then you’ll find the download you need at the digital store of your choice. The Xbox Store is our favourite but it’s also on Steam, PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop. Drunken Fist 2 is fully optimised for the latest and greatest consoles too.

Game Description:

Hilarious 3D brawling with ragdoll physics returns for a rockin’ romp against the undead! The inebriated antics of Drunken Fist are back with brutal vengeance as you take the role of a hungover rocker in Drunken Fist 2: Zombie Hangover! Waking up in a city full of undead hordes, it’s your job to stumble through the streets pummeling zombie opponents with the fearless inhibition that only a drunken stupor can provide. Filled with blood, gore and loss of limbs depicted in light-hearted low-poly style, Drunken Fist 2: Zombie Hangover is a whimsical take on survival horror, featuring physics-based beat ‘em up action and ragdoll takedowns that no sober player would take seriously. It’s time to drain as many bottles of alcohol as possible, find food to keep you standing and somehow muster a bit more combat prowess than your lumbering undead opponents. The occasional faceplant will be excused, of course.
