You may think that Team17 have got the frantic party scene sewn up with their Overcooked games, and you’d probably be right. But now there is a new kid on the block – and Catastronauts promises even more manic interstellar party action!

Available right now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC (with we believe a Nintendo Switch edition just around the corner), Catastronauts fires you and your sofa-bound mates off into space in the hope that you can help keep the Space Fleet together for long enough so that enemy invaders can be destroyed.

Whether you prefer to work in teams of 2-4 players, or wish to go it alone, captaining the ship to glory as an individual, you’ll find yourself repairing systems, putting out fires, arming the weapon systems and avoiding deadly solar flares – all in the name of space science.

As you could probably expect, teamwork is a vital component of any galactic travel and that is the case here with Catastronauts, with the uncomplicated controls and simple jump in gameplay ensuring that the ultimate party crown may just be found wobbling on the heads of the Overcooked chefs.

If you think you can survive the challenges found in space then you’d do well to head to your favoured digital store right now. Our preference is the Xbox Store and it is there where you’ll find a copy of Catastronauts available for £12.79
