It was just a few months back when Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood gave us gamers the opportunity to become the Garou, taking in some B-movie thrills and over-the-top combat in the process. Now it’s time for that base experience to be enhanced with the arrival of the Champion of Gaia content.Â
Available to purchase in two forms – either as a standalone addition to an already bought base game, or in a bundle which combines the original Earthblood with this new pack – the Champion of Gaia DLC will see you becoming Cahal once more, left to utilise the power of the Garou as you head off on all destructive quests.Â
Working with the base game, the Champion of Gaia adds in a few new details which should enhanced things further, delivering not just three new outfits for Cahal, but four exclusive new furs for both the Wolf and Werewolf.Â
Further to that though, should you wish to prove yourself as a true Champion of Gaia, you’ll also be able to call upon a new nature spirit to help you out in any and all combat scenarios, whilst a new finishing move will now also become unique to you.Â
Even though this new content doesn’t really change too much from what was launched with Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood back in February (and we still think that visually Earthblood looks a little ropey), any new content is also appreciated, especially when it brings some uniqueness to the situation at hand.Â
Should you be looking to take in a new transformation any time soon, and reckon that the Werewolf is for you, the new Champion of Gaia content may just be enough to swing a purchase of Earthblood. And honestly, if you’ve already enjoyed the base game, this content drops just becomes ever more appealing.Â
If you do have the standard game available, you’ll find the Champion of Gaia add-on present for £10.74, with both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions available from the Xbox Store. If you don’t yet have a copy of the game but fancy going all-in for unleashing some rage, the Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood Champion of Gaia Edition will be your best bet, bringing together the base game and the new DLC as one. It’s just a shame that the £54.99 asking price (again, Xbox One and fully optimised Xbox Series X|S versions are available) doesn’t really see much of a bundle saving.Â
You’ll also find the game available on PS4, PS5 and PC.
