A quarter-life crisis may be something only invented in recent years, as the world becomes a lot faster for everyone lucky enough to be upon it, but Morris – the protagonist of the narrative-driven Blue Wednesday – is certainly going through one. Can you help him?
A Case of the Blues
Now available on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch, Blue Wednesday has finally forayed onto consoles after being on PC since August 2023.
This is a very story-based point-and-click title, with the majority of your time being spent exploring a colourful and musical world in Evans City. It’s filled to the brim with eclectic NPCs you can interact with, each contributing their two pence as to the state of proceedings.
All the time, however, you and Morris will be left thinking – is there a way for Morris to get out of his dead-end supermarket job, and get back to what he loves?
You see, Morris is a pianist, yet his very first album was very much a failure. Through a number of minigames set throughout Blue Wednesday, Morris may just rediscover his passion. Much like how playing the piano is an escape for our hero, taking part in the 20+ mini-games found throughout Blue Wednesday is a distraction from chatting to the residents of Evans.
