And it’s available right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass.Â
As the name suggests, Octopath Traveler will have you embracing the number eight. Providing you access to an epic RPG, should you find yourself falling into the delightful world that it contains, you’ll get access to no less than eight of the most unique travelers, as you help them take in eight adventures, and ensure that all eight roles have a part to play.
It’s the world of Orsterra which plays host to this tale, and with the promise of your usual standard RPG goodness, plus the opportunity to take in some hugely captivating stories in the process, Octopath Traveler is possibly one of those ‘must-play’ games.
Previously available on PC via Steam and through the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch (a Metacritic score of 83 means much), Octopath Traveler hits Xbox in the usual paid guise on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, but also makes much use of the power of Xbox Game Pass, ensuring that it is available to play for free to those who subscribe to the scheme. When you consider this joins the Microsoft family for £49.99, that Game Pass free route seems like a no-brainer.
