Girls of the Tower
Girls of the Tower – now on Xbox

Girls of the Tower may be the first game we have come across to openly label itself as a ‘galgame’ (games known for attractive female heroes dressed in what we struggle to describe as ‘armour’), but that’s perhaps by the by.

If it’s an intricate JRPG crossed with a roguelike and autochess title you are looking for (with more then thrown in), then look no further!

Choices, Choices…

Now available on Xbox, to complement prior PC (Steam) and Switch releases, Girls of the Tower is an incredibly complex roguelike that will have you reading over stats, ability descriptions and more, all in order to take down the demon force that hide in the shadows of the human realm.

Your goal, as the controller of the four main protagonists in the game, is to choose between tons of abilities, followers to recruit, and moves to deploy in turn-based combat in order to defeat the enemies that stand in your way.

If Slay the Spire had even more cards to take for a spin, then Girls of the Tower would be that.

Girls of the Tower Key Features

  • The game features dozens of minion cards, each with unique skills and effects, showcasing their individual characteristics. Every minion possesses distinct racial effects that, when activated, enhance different racial attributes, making battles significantly more manageable.
  • There are four main female protagonists in the game, each forming diverse and engaging storylines. Try starting the game with different protagonists for varied experiences.
  • The game incorporates mild Rogue elements, including diverse combinations of minions, equipment, and artifacts. Additionally, players can explore various random events within the game.
  • Towns play a crucial role in the game. By interacting with NPCs and upgrading the town, players can significantly enhance the freshness of gameplay.

Buy Today!

Girls of the Tower can now be purchased for Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC. Pick up a copy today via the Xbox Store, where the game costs £12.49.

There are also two add-on DLC packs for Girls of the Tower. Each are priced at £4.19 and come in the form of Journey To Chaos (new game mode, bonds and mechanics) and Decotine (new character, companions and bonds). Should you find yourself enjoying the base game, they are probably worth a consider.

I'm an avid gamer who will play pretty much anything... but stick an open world or adventure game in front of me and I'm more than happy.
