Monster Crown may have launched on PC and Nintendo Switch back in 2020, but it’s taken the best part of two years for the SOEDESCO and Studio Aurum teams to get it working nicely with Xbox and PlayStation consoles. That time has now come.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5, Monster Crown is the dark monster tamer that you didn’t know you needed in your life. Yep, working nearly the exact same lines as the genre leader in Pokemon, Monster Crown drops you onto the Unravel Drown Island and tasks you with creating your very own monster legacy.
Priced at £26.74 from the Xbox Store, and pretty close to that on PlayStation, Monster Crown hits Xbox and PlayStation players in the same form as it did with PC and Switch folk, but this time comes with some major improvements. These include level rebalancing, a new base monster and performance optimisations.
When you do hit the Island, you’ll find a game that caters for those looking for monster taming greatness, with more than 1200 monsters ready to be created. You’ll want to do this too, as the more you go taming, the easier it will be to ensure the world doesn’t descend into that of tyranny.
In all, the key features for Monster Crown include:
- Make pacts with monsters to receive their protection in return for shelter
- Breed and fuse over 200 base monsters to create your own new species
- Travel across Crown Island with your monster allies to uncover a dark world
- Choose a pivotal decision that will drastically change the ending and post-game
- Play online to battle and trade, and have your new species reach across the globe
Head on over to the Xbox Store if you want to pick up a download of Monster Crown on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. It’s on PS4 and PS5 too.
