Biped 2 – out now!

Get ready to test your coordination (and your friendships) once again in Biped 2, as the sequel to the highly praised co-op adventure has just landed on consoles and PC.

Biped 2, is a groovy new action-adventure from developer and publisher META Publishing, and it is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4|5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

After our brave bipedal heroes, Aku and Sila, saved the Earth, they’ve received a strange signal from a faraway planet. Someone is calling for help, and this time, they’re bringing friends.

A Bigger, Bolder Biped

We were huge fans of the original game. In our 2020 review of Biped, we called it “a jolly good time” and a perfect game to play with a partner, though we noted it was a bit on the short and easy side.

Biped 2 looks to have heard those concerns and has massively raised the stakes, introducing expanded multiplayer, new mechanics, and a whole new galaxy of challenges.

What’s New on This Alien Planet?

This sequel is more than just a new set of levels; it’s a complete evolution of the Biped formula.

The biggest and most exciting new feature is the introduction of four-player co-op. You can now tackle the entire adventure not just solo or as a duo, but with a full team of four, either online or on the couch! This brings two new adorable characters, Mimo and Azul, into the fold.

For those with a competitive streak, Biped 2 also introduces a new 2v2 mode, where you can face off against your friends to see who the best adventurer is.

And that means the classic two-leg mechanics are back, but they are now joined by a brand-new variety of ways to move. You can soar gracefully on a hang glider or conquer ledges and breaks with a grappling hook. And yes, sliding is back!

Your new mission will take you to an uncharted alien planet, where you’ll unravel mysteries, meet new characters (including a species of elementals), and explore unfamiliar environments, from lush forests to scorching deserts.

Style is a Must!

Of course, you can’t save a planet without looking good. Biped 2 invites you to show the new world your creativity by dressing up your bipeds for the occasion.

You can collect treasures and buy wacky hats, either finding a unique look for yourself or coordinating paired looks with your partner.

Your Biped’s Handbook

Here’s what you can expect from this new co-op adventure:

  • 1-4 Player Co-op: Play solo, or team up with up to four players in local and online co-op.
  • New 2v2 Competitive Mode: Face off against your friends in devious puzzles.
  • New Mechanics: Master new movement types like the hang glider and grappling hook.
  • Explore New Biomes: Unravel the mysteries of an alien planet.
  • Customise Your Bot: Collect treasures and buy a variety of wacky hats.
  • Critically Acclaimed: Winner of the 2025 “Game Connection Indie Game of the Year” award.

A new planet is in distress, and our tiny robot heroes are the only ones who can save it. If you’re a fan of co-operative action-adventures, Biped 2 is ready for your team on the Xbox Store right now, playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Find the game on other platforms too – PlayStation, Switch and PC.

There is also the Bipedal Party pack for £23.49. It does as you would expect, combining both games into one package.

It’s time to accomplish some great deeds!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
