There are a ton of farming simulator titles already kicking around the gaming scene, with the titular Farming Simulator 22 leading the way in immersion and realism. But there are others, Stardew Valley being a stand out option and the recent Moonglow Bay covering a slightly different angle. Very soon though the genre will be built out again, with the release of Bit Orchard: Animal Valley on Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
Bit Orchard: Animal Valley will come from the solo dev 2Boone Games and the RedDeerGames team (previously behind some real cuties like Little Mouse’s Encyclopedia and Under Leaves) to provide some charming, relaxing, simple pixel art farming adventures – all while being hit with vintage vibes of the ’80s and ’90s.
Due to drop onto Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch, Bit Orchard will request you to pull out the weeds, plant new apple trees and gather the literal fruits of your labor. do so and you’ll discover ways to make your life easier and explore this charming 2D world.
There are multiple promises being talked about in Bit Orchard, as you will get the chance to upgrade your orchard, selling off apples to earn money, to in turn improve things further. You’ll also be able to expand your land, make friends and discover new secrets. All this will take place through some proper old-school Game Boy styled visuals, with catchy tunes helping push things along.
