Blast ’Em Bunnies coming to Xbox One

So it might not be a game-changer, nor is it the biggest title we’ll see this week, but you need to know that Xbox One will be getting invaded by evil bunnies later this year!

Nnooo, an indie developer, have announced that Xbox One will now be one of the many platforms that Blast ‘Em Bunnies will arrive on. I know most of you will be rather curious as to what it’s all about, so I’ll tell you. Blast ‘Em Bunnies revolves around the player, a bunny, defending their burrow from a horde of evil bunnies, resisting being taken over and taken down. This endless bunny shooter puts a carrot rifle in your hand, gives you pumpkin bombs to cause havoc with and allows the usage of a runner bean laser to halve your problems.

Bunnies are usually fluffy and lovely, not in this game though as these killer rabbits coming for you are portrayed in the darkest light possible. Stay alive as long as you can to protect yourself and your babies especially from the throat slitter who takes them hostage at opportune times; if that isn’t enough motivation to pile carrots into other bunnies then I don’t know what is.

Collecting coins will aid your survival as it’ll allow you to upgrade weapons and also buy special ammo types such as self-detonating peppers, exploding raspberries and daikon rain bullets. Earn power-ups from crates and watch out for the Golden Bunny, whose death will send you into a frenzy mode!

Below are the eight different variations of enemies, each with their own little quirks to make them stand out. I’m not sure about you, but that Golden Bunny looks a bit too happy at the thought of wandering into bunny warfare…

Blast ‘Em Bunnies launches later this year on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS. Will you be ready to channel your inner Elmer Fudd?
