It’s probably fair to say that Bluey has outgrown being just a children’s TV show. The adventures of Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli have become a bit of a family phenomenon, with parents often just as invested as the kids. That’s why Bluey’s Quest For The Gold Pen arrives with a little more expectation than most licensed games.
The good news? This one understands exactly what makes Bluey special.
Now available on Xbox Series X|S, PC, Play Anywhere, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch for £33.49, Bluey’s Quest For The Gold Pen delivers an all-new story written by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, taking players on a colourful adventure inspired by imagination, family and play.

A New Adventure Straight From Bluey’s Creator
While working on a drawing, Bluey suddenly loses the Gold Pen she needs to finish her masterpiece after Dad decides to get involved. What follows is a grand adventure built entirely from the family’s imagination, as Bluey and Bingo set off on a quest to recover the precious pen from King Goldie Horns.
Along the way, players will explore nine hand-drawn worlds inspired by the show’s playful storytelling, travelling through beaches, forests, snowy mountains and the Australian Outback. It’s exactly the sort of thing that could have come straight from an episode of the show.
It’s a big game too. Players will uncover hidden treasures, help lost critters, solve puzzles, complete mini-quests and search for collectibles scattered throughout the game’s colourful environments. Travel comes via bikes, boats, gliders and even jetpacks, helping keep each area feeling fresh as the adventure unfolds.
In fact, when we reviewed Bluey’s Quest For The Gold Pen, we came away pleasantly surprised: “We didn’t have much hope for Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen. After Bluey: The Video Game, which was fine but thin, we expected more of the same. But this is a polar opposite. It might not feel like you’re playing an episode of Bluey like in The Video Game, but here you’re given a wealth of stuff to do, an immersive world to get lost in, and a constant barrage of ideas and toys to play with.” That review landed with a strong 4/5 score.
Designed For Families To Play Together
Bluey’s Quest For The Gold Pen understands its audience. This isn’t a game built purely for children or solely for adults. Instead, it aims for the same sweet spot as the television series itself – something families can enjoy together.
Easy-to-learn controls, colourful worlds and a gentle sense of exploration make it approachable for younger players, while the humour, creativity and surprisingly rich world-building should keep parents engaged too. The developers have even designed the experience around shared play, encouraging families to pass the controller and explore together.
Bluey’s Quest For The Gold Pen is available right now on Xbox Series X|S (Xbox Store), PC, Play Anywhere, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch for £33.49.
If you’ve got a Bluey fan in the house, there’s every chance this could become the next family favourite.
