Blow it up – on Xbox, PlayStation and PC

Get ready for explosive mayhem and alien antics in Blow It Up, a physics-based destruction game with a lighthearted twist.

Think Angry Birds meets intergalactic invaders, with a dash of creative chaos thrown in for good measure, and you’ll be somewhere near what Blow It Up provides.

Developed and published by Brain Seal, this bombastic title is available today on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 4 and 5, with mobile and Nintendo Switch versions coming in early March.

Boomtopia Under Siege

The once-peaceful planet of Boomtopia has been invaded by mischievous aliens with explosive superpowers. These unwelcome guests have captured your friends and are busy pilfering the planet’s natural resources.

But when they decide to throw a pyrotechnic party, you’re the only one with an invitation – and a plan to crash it. Armed with an arsenal of unique bombs, you’ll embark on a chaotic adventure to rescue your friends and send those aliens packing.

Physics-Based Destruction and Puzzle Mayhem

Blow It Up delivers a satisfying blend of physics-based destruction and light puzzle elements. Master seven unique bombs, each with its own explosive properties, and use them to demolish enemy fortresses in a hyper-realistic physics simulation.

With over 70 levels of cleverly designed mayhem, you’ll need to carefully aim your shots and unleash creative chain reactions to achieve victory.

The game encourages experimentation and creative problem-solving. Utilise TNT, confetti, and fireworks to orchestrate spectacular explosions and bring down enemy structures in a shower of debris and dazzling effects.

And if the pre-built levels aren’t enough to satisfy your destructive desires, Steamworks integration allows you to jump into custom levels or create your own chaotic masterpieces in Creator Mode.

Key Features

  • Explosive Action: Master a variety of bombs and unleash physics-based mayhem.
  • 70+ Levels: Enjoy a wealth of challenging and creatively designed levels.
  • Custom Levels and Creator Mode: Design and share your own explosive challenges.

From Strategy to Explosive Chaos

Brain Seal Ltd has a history of developing strategy and RPG titles, including Dark Quest and Story of a Gladiator. With Blow It Up, they’ve taken a delightful detour into the realm of physics-based destruction, offering a fun and accessible experience that’s perfect for players of all ages.

A Bombastic Vision

We wanted to create a game where the art of destruction is both a challenge and a celebration,” said Argiris Baltzis, Director at Brain Seal. “With Blow It Up, every explosion is a playful act of rebellion against the alien takeover—and we can’t wait to see how players bring our bombastic vision to life.

Blow It Up should deliver a satisfyingly explosive experience that’s perfect for those moments when you just want to unleash some chaos and have a blast. With its charming visuals, quirky enemies, and creative level design, it’s a game that’s sure to leave you with a smile on your face.

So, grab your bombs, aim carefully, and get ready to blow stuff up on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC!

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
