Prepare to have a super smashing time very soon as a cavalcade of recognisable fighters from the indie scene are coming together for Bounty Battle. Which brawler will stand tall when it arrives this July on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC?

The only way to find out who’s the best of the best fighters are in the world of indies is to cram a whopping 30 of them into a game and advocate a good old scrap. That’s exactly what Merge Games and Dark Screen Games are doing with the 1-4 player beat ‘em up Bounty Battle. Expect to see the inclusion of indie heroes from games such as Guacamelee!, Darkest Dungeon, Dead Cells, Awesomenauts, Owlboy, Axiom Verge, SteamWorld Dig, Jotun, Battle Chasers Nightwar, and tons more on the roster.

In this 2D fighter, each character will possess its own unique abilities and come with a minion as a companion. Things like energy beams, swords and undead minions are going to be commonplace across arenas inspired by the native worlds of these heroes.

Key Features:

  • A host of game modes including a Tournament, Versus, Challenge Mode, Tutorial and Training Room to perfect your style
  • 30 characters from your favourite Indie titles each with their own move set and special attacks
  • Each fighter has their very own minion to summon and join the fight
  • 16 different arenas to battle on – some plucked from the worlds of their fighters
  • Multiple colour and palette swap options to fight in style!

All of your favourite characters are going to be ready for a spot of fisticuffs on 16th July, which is when Bounty Battle is set to release for Xbox One, PS4, Switch and PC. Who are you backing in the fight for indie supremacy? Feel free to get in touch and let us know using the comments section below…
