The new year has arrived on the frontier, and while the snow may be melting, the heat is certainly rising for the outlaws of Red Dead Online.
Rockstar Games has kicked off 2026 with a bang in Red Dead Online, dedicating the entire month of January to the hired guns who keep the peace.
Whether you play on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, or PC, this month is all about tracking targets and collecting hefty payouts.
If you have been waiting for the perfect time to dust off your reinforced lasso and polish your badge, this is it. The latest update brings massive multipliers to Bounty Hunter payouts, significant discounts on licenses for new recruits, and a host of stylish rewards for those who can get the job done. And we’d guess that on the back of the most modern iteration of Red Dead Redemption, you’ll be more interested in what happens Online than ever before.

Big Paydays for Bringing ‘Em In
Crime doesn’t pay, but stopping it certainly does this month. The headline news is the massive boost to income for all Bounty Hunters.
For the day-to-day grind, Regular Bounties are paying out Triple RDO$, Role XP, and XP. If you’re ready for a tougher challenge, tracking down the frontier’s most notorious criminals in Legendary and Infamous Bounties will net you Double RDO$, Gold, and XP.
The action isn’t limited to the bounty board. Bounty Hunter Free Roam Events like Manhunt and Day of Reckoning are also dishing out Triple RDO$ and XP. Participating in either of these events anytime this month will earn you the Gable Charm for your weapon.
