We’ve already told you how Bramble: The Mountain King is breathtakingly beautiful. Now we’re telling you when it’ll release – and you won’t have to wait too long at all.

The first inkling that Bramble: The Mountain King would be of interest can be seen back in our 2021 article, as we detailed the Nordic horrors that it promised. From there, we ran an interview with the Dimfrost Studios team behind it, finding out more about the storytelling that is involved in putting such a game together. And then we got hands-on via PC, stunned by the breathtakingly beautiful world that was imagined.

But now Bramble: The Mountain King arrives for real, given a full release date.

So, just as Bramble’s ‘Näcken Pond’ demo rocks the Steam Next Fest world, the release date is confirmed, ensuring that come April 27th 2023 Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC players will be able to embark on a whole new journey.

A horror inspired grim adventure, Bramble is a game that draws on the most powerful of creatures, building them into the rich Nordic fables and myths of the land. It tells of a boy’s courage and how he copes in the face of adversity. It’s a game that has received overwhelming support from players, pushing it to the top trending title worldwide on YouTube over Halloween weekend, and seeing more players immersing themselves in the dark and sodden world of Bramble through the demo each day.

It has you taking on the role of Olle, a brave boy who is found adventuring through the unsettling yet stunning environments of Bramble to rescue his sister from the clutches of beasts. Dwarfed by the sprawling world around him, navigate a sinister world of monstrous beasts and the contagious dark of the woods, it’ll be up to you to help him decipher friend from foe on a hair-raising journey of suspense and survival.

The key features that will be present come April are…

●        Traverse the sinister world of Bramble on an emotional journey to find your sister

●        Unravel dark secrets and discover what lurks in the depths of your mind as you fight for courage

●        Beautiful art encapsulating story-driven gameplay with immersive cinematic moments

●        Encounter mythical creatures such as Näcken, the Skogsra, trolls, gnomes and more

●        Explore a sprawling landscape of tremendous heights and plunging depths inspired by Nordic nature

Expect to find Bramble: The Mountain King present on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 for £29.99 / $34.99 / €34.99 and on Nintendo Switch for £34.99/$39.99/€39.99. You can get wishlisting it on Steam for PC if you like too.

Further, physical versions of Bramble will be available at all good retailers, and are available for pre-order now on Signature Edition Games! . The first 2000 pre-orders placed via Signature Edition will receive an exclusive Skogsrå pin badge.

We’ll be sure to remind you when that release date comes around.
