Back in November of 2020, Xbox and PC players had the opportunity to play through Bright Memory. It was an extremely short, almost-demo-like, affair that put things in order for further down the line. Well, we’ve moved along that line and today we welcome in Bright Memory: Infinite.

Bright Memory: Infinite from FYQD Studio and Playism is a first person shooter of the highest order; a visually stunning game that comes complete with a host of weapons and tons of blades.

It releases on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, throwing players into the world of a special agent. That agent is Sheila, a girl who finds herself slap bang in the middle of a tornado; quite literally. Whatever the reason, she soon finds herself facing off against a military conspiracy, mythological Chinese demons and the power of a black hole.

Weapons galore come to the fore of Bright Memory: Infinite, with combo-earning the name of the game. Throw in some special psychic abilities that Sheila has too, all whilst working a skill tree, and this is a shooter that is fast going places.

It certainly looks the business and on Xbox Series X|S and PS5, it comes with locked 60 frames per second, 4K, raytraced visuals and 120 FPS mode should you be able to cater for it. Our friends on PS5 will be able to make the most of some sexy PS5 DualSense goodies too.

Switch folk won’t be left out either – gyroscopic aiming and multi-sampling of TAA anti-aliasing is in place.

“My partners and I took the time to ensure that Bright Memory Infinite plays great no matter which system you choose,” said Zeng, indie game developer, FYQD Studio. “We know that Bright Memory: Infinite will set a new benchmark for what indies can do on console hardware.”

Bright Memory: Infinite is available today on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and Nintendo Switch. Expect a review from us very soon, but for now the usual digital stores will sort you out. The Xbox Store link is here, whilst you can grab it from the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop too.

Game Description:

Bright Memory: Infinite is set in a sprawling, futuristic metropolis in the year 2036. A strange phenomenon for which scientists can find no explanation has occurred in the skies around the world. The Supernatural Science Research Organisation (SRO) has sent agents out to various regions to investigate this phenomenon. It is soon discovered that these strange occurrences are connected to an archaic mystery – an as-of-yet unknown history of two worlds, about to come to light…

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
