BrokenLore Dont Lie – September release confirmed

Psychological horror fans won’t have to wait too much longer to uncover the next chapter in the increasingly unsettling BrokenLore universe. Publisher Wired Productions and developer Serafini Productions have confirmed that BrokenLore: DON’T LIE will launch on September 10th 2026, bringing its disturbing tale of isolation, memory, and psychological trauma to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The announcement arrives alongside a brand-new playable demo, available now as part of Steam Next Fest, giving players an early opportunity to step into the fractured world awaiting them later this year.

A Story Built Around Isolation And Distorted Memories

BrokenLore: DON’T LIE places players in the role of Junko, a young woman who withdrew from society years ago and now lives in near-total isolation. As buried memories begin to surface, the reality around her starts to twist and distort, transforming familiar locations into unsettling reflections of the past.

The game explores themes of loneliness, trauma, and self-deception through a first-person perspective, with players tasked with uncovering the truth hidden deep within Junko’s memories. Along the way, an unseen presence appears to be observing her every move, reacting to player actions and adding another layer of tension to the experience.

Rather than relying solely on jump scares, DON’T LIE will be focused on building psychological unease through atmosphere, environmental storytelling, and a narrative that gradually unravels as players progress.

Continuing The BrokenLore Horror Universe

The BrokenLore name has steadily gained attention among horror fans, with recent entries delivering some memorable and often deeply uncomfortable experiences.

Earlier this year, BrokenLore: UNFOLLOW impressed us with its exploration of social media culture and psychological horror, earning a strong 4/5 review score. We praised its striking visual design, unsettling storytelling, and impressive audio work, calling it “a very clever entry in the horror genre” despite a few frustrations during its stealth-focused sequences.

Meanwhile, BrokenLore: FOLLOW recently arrived on Xbox, PlayStation and PC, continuing the studio’s wider horror anthology. DON’T LIE looks set to expand that universe further, shifting the focus towards deeply personal themes while maintaining the series’ trademark sense of unease.

At Wired Productions, we’ve built a reputation for publishing distinctive horror experiences that stay with players long after the credits roll” said Leo Zullo, Co-found and Managing Director at Wired Productions. “BrokenLore: DON’T LIE is an exploration of isolation, memory, and self-deception that creates an experience which feels deeply human while remaining profoundly disturbing.”

Try The Demo Before Launch

Players eager to experience the opening moments of Junko’s story won’t need to wait until September. The newly released Steam Next Fest demo offers a glimpse into the game’s unsettling atmosphere, distorted environments, and psychological themes ahead of launch.

With Japanese voice acting, shifting realities, and a story rooted in emotional trauma, BrokenLore: DON’T LIE is shaping up to be another intriguing entry in a horror series that continues to explore uncomfortable and thought-provoking territory.

BrokenLore: DON’T LIE launches on September 10th 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. There’s an Xbox Store page up already.
