KIBORG – out today on console and PC

Prepare for a relentless fusion of old-school beat ’em up brutality, intense shooting, and deep roguelite mechanics – KIBORG is here!

KIBORG, the fast-paced, cybernetically-enhanced action game from developer and publisher Sobaka Studio, has smashed its way onto Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5, and PC (Steam/Epic) today.

Priced at ÂŁ24.99 and accompanied by a free demo for those wanting a taste of the violence, KIBORG throws you into the galaxy’s deadliest game show on its most inescapable prison planet.

Fight for Your Freedom on “The Last Ticket”

You are Morgan Lee, convicted of horrific crimes you didn’t commit and slapped with a 1300-year sentence on the prison planet Sigma. Death is no escape here; the grotesque host Volkov simply resurrects inmates for his amusement.

Your only chance at freedom? Reach the shuttle on the prison roof by winning the bloody reality show, “The Last Ticket.”

No Compromises: Brutal Combat & Gore

KIBORG pulls no punches, blending genres into a fast, brutal, and deadly cocktail:

  • Visceral Combat: Engage in visceral hybrid combat, seamlessly mixing devastating melee blows (sever limbs! squash heads!) with a variety of firearms.
  • Relentless Enemies: Battle through hordes of other inmates and guards, with dozens of enemy types boasting unique abilities and tactics, combined into hundreds of challenging encounters.
  • Blood & Gore: As the developers state, “If you’re here for blood and gore, you’ve come to the right place.

Immense Build Variety Through Cybernetics

Surviving Sigma requires more than just brute force. KIBORG’s deep customization system lets you:

  • Replace Body Parts: Swap limbs and organs for powerful cybernetic implants enhancing melee, defense, and agility.
  • Experiment with Augmentations: Utilise hundreds of power-enhancing augmentations.
  • Apply Mutations: Discover dozens of mutations to create deadly synergies.
  • Master Weapons & Combos: Wield various melee weapons and firearms, weaving them together with implants for gut-wrenching combos and special attacks.

With millions of potential combinations, you can craft countless viable builds to destroy anyone standing between you and that shuttle. Earn currency each run to unlock permanent upgrades, making each attempt slightly less suicidal.

Developer Sobaka Studio is eager for players to dive in. “It’s rewarding to see KIBORG out now after spending several years bringing it to life,” said Dmitry Kachkov, Head of Sobaka Studio. “I hope everyone experiments with Morgan’s skillset and finds a way to escape from Sigma.”

Key Features

  • Brutal Roguelite Beat ’em Up/Shooter Hybrid: Fast-paced, visceral combat.
  • Deep Cybernetic Customisation: Implants, augmentations, mutations offer millions of builds.
  • Fight for Freedom Premise: Escape a deadly prison planet game show.
  • Varied Enemies & Encounters: Dozens of enemy types ensure challenging fights.
  • Permanent Progression: Earn currency for upgrades between runs.

Can You Win Your Freedom Today?

KIBORG promises a relentless, gore-filled action experience with deep customisation and high replayability.

If you’re ready to enhance your body and obliterate everything in your path, it’s available right now on the Xbox Store (and other platforms) for ÂŁ24.99.

KIBORG Description

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
