We knew it was coming. We just didn’t know it would happen like this.
Buckshot Roulette has now made a surprise arrival on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC and, perhaps best of all, Game Pass, giving Xbox players their first chance to experience one of the biggest indie horror sensations of recent years.
If you’ve somehow managed to avoid the hype, imagine Russian Roulette… but replace the revolver with a 12-gauge shotgun.

The Viral Hit Finally Pulls The Trigger On Xbox
When Buckshot Roulette exploded onto Steam, it quickly became one of those rare indie games everyone seemed to be talking about. Streamers couldn’t get enough of it, horror fans embraced its unsettling atmosphere, and its brutally simple premise helped it rack up millions of sales.
Now it’s Xbox’s turn.
Set inside a grimy underground nightclub, Buckshot Roulette transforms the deadly game of Russian Roulette into a tense psychological duel against a mysterious opponent known only as The Dealer. Both players know exactly how many live and blank shells are loaded into the shotgun – they just don’t know the order.
Every decision becomes a gamble. Do you fire at yourself and hope for a blank? Do you aim at your opponent? Or do you play your collection of items to shift the odds in your favour? It’s a game built on nerve as much as luck.
More Than Just A One-On-One Showdown
The original duel with The Dealer remains at the heart of the experience, with tense matches lasting around 15 to 20 minutes as you attempt to survive three increasingly dangerous rounds.
Since its original launch, however, Buckshot Roulette has grown beyond that. Xbox players are jumping in with the multiplayer update already included, allowing up to four players to gather around the table. Temporary alliances, betrayals, desperate bargains and outright deception all become part of the experience as everyone fights to be the last person standing.
There’s also a Double or Nothing mode for those who think surviving once simply isn’t enough.
We Knew It Was Coming…
Regular readers may remember that we covered the announcement back in 2025, when Buckshot Roulette was confirmed for Xbox and Game Pass. At the time it already felt like one of the more exciting indie arrivals on the horizon, largely thanks to the incredible reception it had earned on PC.
Now the wait is over.
If you’ve watched videos online but never had the chance to experience the tension for yourself, there’s finally an opportunity to see what all the fuss has been about. Find Buckshot Roulette on the Xbox Store, playable through Game Pass and on Xbox and PC.
Sometimes the biggest Xbox launches aren’t the ones with blockbuster budgets. Sometimes all it takes is a shotgun, a smoky nightclub and one very bad decision.
