Zombie Cure Lab – out on Xbox, PLayStation and PC

The undead have overrun the planet, but hope isn’t entirely lost! Zombie Cure Lab, the innovative base-building management sim from Thera Bytes and Aerosoft, has launched to the world. But can you help save it?

This unique take on the zombie apocalypse is now available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, inviting you to heal the world, one “Humbie” at a time.

The Apocalypse Got a Makeover: Build, Manage, Cure

After years of desperate research, humanity has finally discovered an antidote that partially reverses zombification, creating human-zombie hybrids called “Humbies.”

Your mission, as a researcher in charge of a remote scientific outpost, is to build a functioning lab, capture and treat the infected, and ultimately develop a full cure to restore humanity.

Zombie Cure Lab dramatically flips the script on traditional zombie games. Forget simply blasting the undead; here, your primary goal is to heal them, transforming the apocalypse one Humbie at a time.

This involves a deep and engaging gameplay loop where you must first build and expand your research lab from scratch in the unforgiving wilderness, a bit like what you would have done in Two Point Hospital, just, well, differently.

You’ll raise walls and fences to protect your valuable scientists, meticulously plan efficient production lines to process materials, generate vital power, and establish all the infrastructure needed to support your growing facility – every machine, room, and cable is critical.

Alongside construction, you’ll manage your workforce, assigning tasks to four different worker types across demanding day and night shifts, all while carefully balancing your precious resources.

A crucial part of your operation involves capturing and treating the roaming undead. You’ll equip your teams with high-tech freezing guns to safely apprehend zombies, bringing them back to your lab for the treatment process. Success transforms them into Humbies – helpful human-zombie hybrids ready to assist with base expansion and other vital tasks. However, these new hybrid workers aren’t just mindless drones; you must also carefully manage the mood and well-being of your Humbies. Keep them happy, and they’ll be productive members of your growing community; neglect their needs, and you risk a chaotic rampage through your carefully constructed lab!

Ultimately, your objective is to research your way to a full cure. This involves unlocking over 200 different technologies across four distinct tech tiers, discovering high-tier materials, and developing advanced science equipment to push humanity back from the brink. But this vital research isn’t conducted in a vacuum.

The work is perilous, as each night brings fresh waves of aggressive zombies determined to breach your compound. You’ll need to build smart defenses, perhaps electrifying your perimeter, and strategically manage your resources to keep the relentless hordes at bay. Beware of power blackouts too, as a single failure can undo all your hard work and leave your facility vulnerable.
