City Bus Manager – now on console

Get ready to take the wheel of your very own transport empire as City Bus Manager rolls out on Xbox and PlayStation.

Following a successful run on PC that has seen hundreds of thousands of players worldwide design their dream bus networks, simulation experts PeDePe and renowned publisher Aerosoft today see City Bus Manager making its highly anticipated leap to consoles.

The game is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 for £24.99.

All Aboard for Deep Management and Realism

This isn’t just any bus simulation; City Bus Manager boasts an innovative use of OpenStreetMap data, allowing you to construct bus depots and meticulously design routes in virtually any real-world location on Earth.

Whether you want to tackle the bustling streets of New York and Tokyo, navigate the charming Tuscan hills, service isolated Amazonian villages, or even optimise the bus schedule in your very own hometown, the power is in your hands.

In City Bus Manager, you’re not just a driver; you’re the boss. Players can manage every intricate detail of their burgeoning bus company. This includes everything from fleet maintenance across over 20 meticulously modelled bus types, to ensuring employee happiness through careful management of work schedules and wages. You’ll be designing custom routes, setting timetables, and tracking your buses live with realistic passenger volumes and behaviours, often powered by live data.

The challenges are real: you’ll need to respond to passenger feedback and reviews, build and customise your depot with essential facilities like repair stations, washing facilities, offices, and even a Service Center to sell tickets directly and engage with your clients.

The game features an extensive Techtree for unlocking new capabilities and random events, such as rail replacement transport, to keep you on your toes. We’ll let you know how that all comes together in full review soon, but we’re expecting it to go wheel-to-wheel with the likes of Fernbus Coach Simulator.

From PC Success to a New Wave of Console Tycoons

The game’s strong management style, realism, depth, and replayability have already earned it a devoted community on PC. The developers and publishers are excited to bring this experience to a new audience.

We’ve been overwhelmed by the love and creativity our PC community has poured into City Bus Manager since its launch,” said Niklas Polster, co-founder of PeDePe. “Bringing this experience to consoles has been a dream of ours, and we can’t wait to see how Xbox and PlayStation players approach building their own bus companies.

Maarten Janello, Product Manager at Aerosoft, added, “Renewing our work on City Bus Manager with PeDePe to bring the game to consoles feels like the perfect next stop on our journey together. We’re excited to welcome a new wave of tycoons into the fold and hope to see the entire City Bus Manager community continue to contribute as the game grows and thrives.

Key Features of Your New Commute

City Bus Manager offers the chance to build and manage your bus empire in nearly any city worldwide, thanks to real-world satellite data, bus stops, and POIs from OpenStreetMap. You can design custom routes and track your buses live, experiencing realistic passenger volumes.

The game allows for extensive depot customisation, including repair and washing facilities, and offers a choice from over 20 bus models, with options for custom repaints. Managing staff by balancing wages and responding to passenger feedback is crucial for success, all while navigating random events and progressing through an extensive techtree.

Ready to Run the City’s Transport?

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
