You’ve flipped houses, you’ve made your very own animal shelter and you’ve brewed beer like you’ve never brewed before. Now though it’s time to build your own kingdom, as Castle Renovator plays forts on Xbox.
Available to purchase, download and play right now, Castle Renovator whisks you back in time, to the 16th and 17th centuries in fact, as you look to take some Medieval, Baroque and Renaissance building and associated elements, before bringing them up to former glories.
It’s priced at £11.99 and comes from the Ultimate Games team, a squad who seem intent on pushing out as many simulator styled titles as they possibly can. We’re on board with that push too, always intrigued by what they can come up with next – Priest Simulator is coming, apparently.
For now though it’s the focus on rebuilding castles, creating your own dream forts and styling them out as you see fit. Cleaning up, repairing, building and then decorating things is order of the day, if only so one down you can crown yourself king or queen of the lands.

- Explore new locations – Do you want to see what the castle chambers look like in different locations? By completing quests you will have the opportunity to visit many beautiful lands where in addition to castles you will have the opportunity to clean, clean, build, renovate, repair and decorate sheds, barns, huts, houses, mansions, palaces and even pirate ships!
- Become a designer! – Design the surroundings of the castle. Choose and plant trees in the courtyard, place animals in the crofts. Choose the shapes and designs of flags and pennants.
- Destroy the walls! – Don’t like what you’ve already managed to build? Don’t worry! Destroy the walls and start over!
- Manage reconstruction! – It takes a lot of effort to rebuild a conquered castle. Repair shattered walls, bridges or towers. You will have to put a lot of work into the reconstruction of the conquered castle.
You’ll find Castle Renovator on the Xbox Store. It’s playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The game is also on PlayStation.
