Drug Dealer Empire – now on Xbox and PlayStation

Some games let you save the world. Others let you build theme parks, farms or entire cities. Drug Dealer Empire has slightly different career ambitions in mind.

Now available on Xbox Series X|S for ÂŁ6.69, as well as PS5, this underground management sim from Upscale Studio and Ozolnieki drops players into a criminal underworld where success depends on growing products, expanding territory, avoiding police attention and somehow keeping the whole operation from collapsing under pressure.

Apparently climbing the corporate ladder is easier when the ladder is highly illegal.

From Small-Time Hustler To Criminal Kingpin

Drug Dealer Empire starts players at the very bottom of the food chain. Armed with little more than a few seeds and a tiny setup, the goal is to slowly build a profitable underground operation capable of dominating the city.

That means growing products, managing deliveries, finding buyers and expanding distribution networks while constantly keeping one eye on the authorities.

The further your empire spreads, the bigger the risks become. More clients means more money, but it also means more attention from the police – and one bad move could bring the entire operation crashing down.

Management, Expansion And Risk

At its core, Drug Dealer Empire is all about the management systems and progression.

Players cultivate products across different “Schedule” tiers, upgrade operations from small rooms into larger industrial setups and gradually take control of new neighbourhoods across the city. Inventory management and delivery timing also play important roles, adding pressure beyond simply growing and selling products.

The balancing act between expansion and staying hidden looks central to the experience. Carry too much product or miss key deliveries and problems begin stacking up quickly. In other words, running a criminal empire apparently involves quite a lot of admin.

Another Simulation Game Heads To Console

Simulation games continue to cover increasingly bizarre corners of life, and Drug Dealer Empire certainly lands towards the more chaotic end of the genre spectrum.

Still, there is clearly an audience for management games built around risk, progression and high-pressure decision making. Whether players are drawn in by the criminal empire setup or simply curious about another unusual simulator landing on Xbox or PlayStation, this latest release is unlikely to blend quietly into the storefront background.

Subtlety does not really seem to be part of the business model here.
