Bushcraft Simulator – coming to Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC

Ditch the comfy couch and embrace the untamed wilderness – Bushcraft Simulator is coming!

A2 Softworks, the Polish studio behind the gravity-defying Climber: Sky is the Limit, is venturing into the realm of survival games with Bushcraft Simulator.

This realistic and challenging title, published by Ultimate Games (known for the Ultimate Fishing Simulator series and Thief Simulator 2), is set to bring a new level of authenticity to the genre.

A Lone Wolf in the Wilds

Bushcraft Simulator drops you onto an isolated island, surrounded by dense and unforgiving forest. With limited resources and the ever-present threat of predators, you’ll need to rely on your wits, your skills, and a whole lot of duct tape to survive.

This isn’t your typical walk in the park; it’s a hardcore test of your ability to thrive in the face of nature’s challenges.

Features That Will Make You Howl for Help (or Maybe Just Google “How to Build a Fire”)

  • the struggle for survival in the wild forest;
  • collecting and crafting;
  • shelter creation;
  • exploration, combat and uncovering secrets;
  • roguelike survival.

More Than Just Survival

Bushcraft Simulator goes beyond the typical survival game formula, offering a deep and engaging experience that emphasises realism and the intricacies of bushcraft.

It’ll teach you how to build different types of campfires, each with its own heat output and burn time. And you’ll get to master the art of shelter construction, considering factors like location, materials, and weather conditions. From there, plan your expeditions carefully, managing your weight and ensuring you have the right tools for the challenges ahead.

Developer Quote

This is a game that should appeal to fans of bushcraft and survivalism. Certainly players who appreciate productions in the style of Green Hell, The Forest or Valheim will find something for themselves in Bushcraft Simulator. The game focuses on realistic aspects of survival, which can be found in vain in other productions with similar themes. The simulator will be distinguished by a thoughtful combination of realism and varied and intriguing gameplay,” says developer from A2 Softworks, Andrzej Stroiński.

A New Breed of Survival Game

Bushcraft Simulator is poised to offer a fresh and challenging experience for fans of survival games like Green Hell.

With its focus on realism, roguelike elements, and a deep crafting system, this game is sure to captivate those who enjoy the thrill of testing their skills against the forces of nature.

Bushcraft Simulator is set to launch on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Will you look to face the wilderness, master the art of survival, and uncover the secrets of the island?

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
