Asterix & Obelix Mission Babylon
Asterix & Obelix Mission Babylon – coming in October

The magic potion is brewing, and the Romans are already quaking in their sandals. Publisher Microids and developer Balio Studio have officially unveiled Asterix & Obelix: Mission Babylon, a brand-new, vibrant adventure starring the two indomitable Gauls.

The muscle-packed journey is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 30th, 2025.

Revealed with a new teaser trailer, this latest outing sees our moustachioed heroes leaving their peaceful Armorica behind for a crucial mission that will take them to the very edge of the Parthian Empire.

A Journey to the Edge of the Parthian Empire

This time, Asterix and Obelix are heading East on a quest to save King Monipehni, who has fallen victim to a vile poison brewed by the nefarious sorcerer, Bahmbuhzeli. To succeed, our heroes must journey through mysterious new lands to gather the ingredients for an antidote.

And, of course, they’ll need to deliver a good thrashing to some overconfident Roman cohorts along the way.

Slaps, Co-op, and Exotic Flair

Asterix & Obelix: Mission Babylon is a platforming game full of action, laughs, and exotic new environments, all delivered with the signature irreverent humour the series is known for.

The core of the game is all about fun, accessible action. Players will delight in bashing legionaries, avoiding traps, and progressing through a rich and varied world. The game promises dynamic combat, epic boss fights, over twenty replayable levels, and plenty of hidden secrets to discover.

Two Gauls are Better Than One

The adventure is designed to be enjoyed together, with a full local co-op mode that takes advantage of the duo’s complementary strengths. Whether you’re playing solo or teaming up with a friend, the focus is on fun and muscle-packed mayhem.

This is a completely original journey. The game features four all-new worlds, each created specifically for this title with its own unique visual atmosphere and gameplay mechanics.

From sun-drenched Eastern landscapes to the mysterious corners of Babylon, the environments are filled with exotic details and loving nods to the beloved comic book series.

Another Chapter in a Long Legacy

The adventures of Asterix and Obelix have been a mainstay on Xbox for years, and we’ve been along for the ride. From the beat ’em up chaos of Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! and its sequel, to the remastered adventures of Asterix & Obelix XXL: Romastered, we’ve seen these Gauls in plenty of scrapes.

Mission Babylon looks to be one of their freshest adventures yet, moving beyond the familiar lands of Gaul to offer completely new worlds, a brand-new story, and a host of new challenges for the duo to overcome.

The journey to the East is set to begin this autumn. With four brand-new worlds to explore and countless Romans to send flying, Asterix & Obelix: Mission Babylon is shaping up to be another spectacular adventure for the iconic duo.

Get ready to join the fight when it launches on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC on October 30th, 2025.
