Call of Duty fans rejoice, it’s finally here – that time of the year in which players can unite in true warfare.
Call of Duty: WWII is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and it’s taking us back to the classic boots on the ground action of World War II that we have all begged for in recent years.
That’s right, the FPS titan is back again, but instead of futuristic warfare and sci-fi weaponry, it’s time to head back to the cramped trenches of World War II, in a more realistic war experience.
The story will focus on the actions of a 12-man squad of the American 1st Infantry Division from 1944 to 1945 in the European theatre of conflict. In a time when Allied forces were starting to gather strength on their march into Germany, players will take the battle to occupied France and Belgium, across the Rhine river valley and into the heart of Nazi Germany. Iconic historical battles are in place with the Invasion of Normandy – D-Day, the Liberation of Paris, the Battle of Aachen and more all posing a significant challenge.
Alongside the story, and as expected, Multiplayer and Zombies return alongside some heavy changes to the in-game class system, as well as some all new game modes and a new standalone story for the Nazi Zombies adventure – and that is something that looks sure to change the way you play.
Those interested in jumping in to Call of Duty: WWII can do so now with either the Standard or Digital Deluxe Editions for the price of £54.99 and £84.99 respectively. If you wish to go the whole hog then the latter should be the one for you as it brings not just the game, but the Season Pass and 1100 Call of Duty: WWII Points.
