Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s final DLC – Retribution – arrives on Xbox One

-

Call of Duty: WWII may be just around the corner, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still plenty to enjoy with last year’s entry to the franchise, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. After a month of exclusivity to PlayStation 4, today is the day for the final DLC to arrive and Retribution is now finally available on Xbox One.

This fourth and final DLC for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare brings with it a chilling conclusion to the five-part Infinite Warfare zombies experience with The Beast from Beyond, as well as four new and exciting multiplayer maps to jump into.

Those looking forward to finally concluding the zombies saga will be happy to hear that the finale features the return of Willard Wyler, the enigmatic movie director and villain, whom is portrayed with the voice and likeness of Paul Reubens, aka Pee-wee’s Big Holiday, Gotham). Wyler’s return sees the four protagonists whisked off to a desolate military space station on a distant ice planet, where the battle with the hordes of the undead will continue, along with a returning breed of enemy series fans will recognize all too well. The Beast from Beyond also brings new weapons, enticing traps and more, whilst all the previous protagonists return once more.

The four new maps introduced this time around include:

  • Carnage – A post-apocalyptic race track spread along the California coast, featuring long sightlines and environmental hazards.
  • Heartland – A simulated small-town America and a remixed version of the classic map Warhawk from Call of Duty: Ghosts. In this map players can pop into the local ice cream shop for an extra treat before taking out the undead horde with a Black Hole Generator.
  • Altitude -A sky shopping mall located on the far edge of the universe. This map contains floating and luscious waterfalls that border the map as well as Altitude that thrusts teams around the chaotic map center in which quick flanking routes are the key to success.
  • Depot 22 – The watering hole at the end of civilization. The focus in this map is on the mid-ranged encounters all of which take place in a three-lane map. With the cantina in play for close quarters combat and wall-running a must for combat along a moving train.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Retribution DLC Map Pack is available right now to all on Xbox One owners as part of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Season Pass, or as a standalone purchase for the price of £11.59. The Microsoft Store awaits your cash. As mentioned previously, you can also grab it on PS4.
