Call of the Wild: The Angler revealed for PC and console

There’s no debate that the very finest hunting titles currently available are those from the Call of the Wild franchise. Very soon though that franchise will be expanding like never before with Call of the Wild: The Angler.

From Expansive Worlds, a creative division within Avalanche Studios Group and the studio behind the hit immersive hunting game theHunter: Call of the Wild, has revealed a new open world fishing experience: Call of the Wild: The Angler.

This one will see you putting down the rifle and instead picking up the bait, as you cast out into the unknown, all in hope of nailing a catch. It’ll let you ride the waters and explore a vast, atmospheric environment in search of the perfect fishing spot, doing so alone or with friends in online co-op for up to 12 players.

Call of the Wild: The Angler will be hitting PC via Steam, the Microsoft Store, and Epic Games Store later in 2022, with consoles to follow.

When it does launch, you’ll find the opportunity to embark on a journey to become a master angler on your own terms. This will mean exploring the captivating outdoor wilderness filled with surprises, going on the hunt for elusive trophy fish, or just unwinding and having fun on your own or with friends in co-op.
