Pacify
Pacify – bringing scares to Xbox

Think you’re brave enough to handle things that go bump in the night? You can find out today, as Pacify, the terrifying co-op horror game from developer Shawn Hitchcock and publisher Hitchcock Games, launches right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S!

Available for the suspiciously low price of just ÂŁ4.19, this job might pay well, but survival isn’t guaranteed.

You’ve just signed on with PAH Inc. – Paranormal Activity Helpers Incorporated. Sounds cheesy, they admit, but the pay is great and they promise you won’t ever be in any real danger… right?

Your job: investigate spooky locations, deal with supernatural entities, and capture them for the company. Simple.

Unique Horrors, Unique Missions

Forget generic ghost hunts. Pacify throws you and up to three friends (or just you, if you’re feeling really brave) into a variety of distinct missions, each with its own unique monster, lore, items, and gameplay mechanics:

  • The Old Mansion: Confront a terrifyingly possessed girl.
  • The Eerie Farm: Appease an insatiable, monstrous farmer.
  • The Witch’s Woods: Gather items and perform rituals to weaken a powerful witch.
  • PAH HQ Under Siege: Keep the company headquarters safe from… something… during a power outage.

Each location promises excitement, fun, and sheer terror as you learn how to avoid, pacify, weaken, and ultimately capture these paranormal threats.

Co-op Chaos or Solo Survival?

While you can venture into these haunted locales alone, Pacify is built with online co-op for up to 4 players in mind.

Teaming up with friends is essential to watch each other’s backs, coordinate strategies, and maybe scream together when things inevitably go wrong.

Tension That Builds and Bites

Pacify excels at slowly building tension before unleashing its horrors. The supernatural monsters aren’t static threats; they roam freely, interact with the environment, and mess with players in unpredictable ways.

Some will attack directly, others might steal crucial items, and some might just give you a good shove when you least expect it. With multiple endings possible for each mission depending on your success (or failure), there’s plenty of reason to dive back into the nightmare.

Key Features

  • Co-op Horror (1-4 Players Online): Tackle terrifying missions solo or with friends.
  • Multiple Unique Missions: Each level features distinct monsters, lore, items, and gameplay.
  • Variety of Paranormal Monsters: Face possessed dolls, witches, shadow monsters, and more.
  • Pacify, Weaken, Capture: Learn specific strategies for dealing with each entity.
  • Dynamic Tension: Monsters roam freely and interact unpredictably.
  • Multiple Endings: Discover different outcomes for each mission.

Clock In at PAH Inc.

Ready for the worst job you’ll ever love (or fear)? Pacify offers a unique and genuinely scary co-op horror experience at an incredibly accessible price. It’s available right now on the Xbox Store for ÂŁ4.19.

Grab your friends, sign your waiver (probably), and see if you can pacify the paranormal! Stay tuned for our full review – if we survive…

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
