Neko Bento – now on Xbox

Tired of the same old sad desk lunch? Wish your midday meal had a bit more… meowtivation? Well, your culinary prayers have been answered as Neko Bento comes to Xbox.

Neko Bento is a charming and cozy food-arranging puzzle game, put together by those at RedDeer.Games. It has launched today on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for the tasty price of just £5.79.

Following its successful debut on Nintendo Switch, Neko Bento now brings its unique brand of puzzle-solving, guided by a hardworking cat-chef, to the Xbox and PC platforms. It’s time to put your thinking cap (or perhaps chef’s hat?) on!

Become the Cat-Chef’s Paw-some Helper!

In Neko Bento, you step into the role of an assistant to the one and only cat-chef, an expert bento arranger with plenty of orders to fill (because, let’s face it, who wouldn’t want an adorably prepared, meowtastic bento?).

Your task is to perfectly arrange a variety of cute food items into bento boxes. It sounds simple, but as any bento artist knows, fitting everything in just right is a delicious challenge.

You’ll be tasked with strategically stacking, flipping, and turning 29 different food items – from onigiri snacks and plump tomatoes to adorable octopus sausages and even tofu – into over 90 level-boxes. Each new box, regardless of its size, presents a fresh puzzle.

As you progress, the bento boxes will change, offering more (or sometimes less!) space, introducing new food items, and presenting obstacles like pesky rice pulps or balls that you’ll need to work around. Much like we did in inbento a few years back.

A Feast for the Eyes and Ears

Neko Bento is designed to be a feast for the senses. The game features a charming hand-drawn visual style, bringing all 29 food items and the overall presentation to life with an adorable aesthetic. Hopefully, no one will feel too bad about eventually eating these cute creations!

Complementing the visuals is a delightful soundtrack offering either energetic funk or relaxing lo-fi music to set the mood as you cheerfully arrange your bento. It’s a family-friendly experience, perfect for puzzle lovers looking for something cozy and satisfying.

Key Features

Ready to Pack Some Puzzles?

Neko Bento offers a unique and charming take on the spatial puzzle genre, wrapped in an undeniably cute cat-and-food theme. If you’re looking for a relaxing yet engaging puzzler to fill your gaming lunch break, Neko Bento is available right now on the Xbox Store for just £5.79.

No one wants to leave a tasty meal unfinished!
