It’s a simple question really, but we’re pretty sure the journey there won’t be quite as easy. But are you up for reaching the Nuclear Throne?
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and through Xbox Game Pass, Nuclear Throne comes straight out of the Vlambeer team; a company that shut their doors a year back on the mark of their 10th anniversary.Â
But it seems like closed studio or not, there’s always going to be room for more games on Xbox and through the Game Pass scheme, with Nuclear Throne being the latest to join the madness.Â
Priced at £9.99 should you not be a Game Pass subscriber (we’re sure there must be someone out there, somewhere, who isn’t), Nuclear Throne is a roguelike top-down-shooter that is set in a post apocalyptic world. It’s this place which will have players attempting to fight their way through the wastelands, with multiple pieces of weaponry in tow. But it’s not just the shooting which comes to the fore in your quest of reaching the Nuclear Throne and collecting radiation in order to mutate and grow some new limbs and abilities (yes, really!), is more than par for the course.Â
We’ve never played Nuclear Throne before, but there’s a good chance that you may have done so, particularly if you roll around the Steam pages every now and then. You see, Nuclear Throne first released in 2015 on PC, and has picked up some seriously good, overwhelmingly positive reviews in the process. We hope that sees a decent translation to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass – you can be sure we’ll drop our thoughts as soon as we can.Â
For now though, get yourself over to the Xbox Store and head off on search of the Nuclear Throne right now.Â
Game Description:
Nuclear Throne is a post-apocalyptic roguelike-like top-down shooter. Not ‘the final hope of humanity’ post-apocalyptic, but ‘humanity is extinct and mutants and monsters now roam the world’ post-apocalyptic. Fight your way through the wastelands with powerful weaponry, collecting radiation to mutate some new limbs and abilities. All these things and more you could do if only you were good at this game. Can you reach the Nuclear Throne?
