A Bigger World Of Football
CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS looks to significantly expand on what came before – even if that original never hit Xbox. There are 22 national teams to take control of and more than 110 playable characters, with familiar faces joined by previously unseen teams and original characters.
The game also features more than 150 cutscenes, bringing the big moments on the pitch to life with the kind of animation and spectacle fans of the series will expect.

Football With A Little More Firepower
Don’t expect a conventional football game here – head back to EA FC or eFootball for that. You see, Captain Tsubasa has always done things differently, and WORLD FIGHTERS leans fully into that approach.
Passing, dribbling, tackling and blocking can all be enhanced by special techniques, while new super moves promise to make matches even more dramatic. Even stopping shots at goal has been given a more tactical twist.
You can also take the action into competitive matches with friends or follow Tsubasa’s journey through the game’s adventure.
Which Edition Should You Pick?
So, versions. And there are options for you to consider.
The Standard Edition is priced at £54.99 and includes the base game.
For £74.99, the Deluxe Edition adds the Season Pass, which will deliver six playable characters alongside uniforms and other customisation items, as well as a Black Ball customisation bonus.
The £84.99 Ultimate Edition includes everything from the Deluxe Edition, alongside the Ultimate Pack. That brings alternate uniforms and ball customisations, goal celebrations, menu themes and early access to two powerful move cards – Neo Drive Shot and Neo Tiger Shot.
The Season Pass is also available separately for £19.99, while the Ultimate Pack costs £11.99.
More DLC Options On The Bench
Alongside the bigger editions and add-on packs, there are two smaller DLC options available too.
The Save Data Bonus Pack costs £1.69 and includes the Nankatsu Middle School Uniform, Toho Academy Uniform and the “Tsubasa’s Challenge Ball Slammed at Wakabayashi” ball customisation. This content is also available as a bonus for players who purchased the previous game, so returning players should be careful not to buy it twice.
There’s also the 2026 Japan National Team & World Youth Jersey Set for £1.69. As the name suggests, that adds two new outfits – the 2026 Japan National Team Jersey and the World Youth Jersey. Again, this was also included as a pre-order bonus, so it’s worth checking what you already own before picking it up separately.
