Capy Spa Invites Xbox, PC And PlayStation Players To Unwind

-

2026's Best Games

The official keyart for Capy Spa as it launches on Xbox, PC and PlayStation

Sometimes you don’t need chaos. You don’t need combat. You don’t even need a timer ticking in the corner of the screen. Capy Spa arrives on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC, and PlayStation platforms for ÂŁ4.19, offering something far gentler – a puzzle game about preparing the perfect bath for the chillest capybara in gaming.

Published and developed by Afil Games, Capy Spa is a minimalist, soothing sokoban-style experience where steam rises slowly and every move matters.

A Spa Day With Pipa

Capy Spa puts players in charge of helping Pipa, a relaxation-loving capybara, prepare hot spring baths by pushing herb buckets into steaming pools.

Across 30 carefully crafted levels, you’ll reorganise obstacles, adjust positioning, and experiment with movement sequences until everything slots neatly into place. There are no enemies chasing you, no countdown clock creating pressure; just thoughtful problem-solving in serene surroundings.

Some pools begin already filled, forcing you to rework layouts patiently and logically. The challenge comes not from complexity overload, but from finding that one perfect sequence of moves.

Two Biomes, One Calm Philosophy

The game unfolds across two distinct environments – Savanna River and Forest Onsen – each bringing its own visual identity while maintaining the same tranquil tone.

Low-pressure design is the heart of the experience. You can undo moves, retry freely, and take your time. The soothing soundtrack blends naturally with the gentle ambience of rising steam and drifting leaves, reinforcing the laid-back feel.

It’s puzzle-solving designed to calm rather than overwhelm.

A Familiar Afil Formula

If you’ve played other Afil Games releases, Capy Spa will likely feel familiar. In our 3/5 review, we noted:

“It means that we came to the same old conclusions; the same as Cute Astro, Hummingbird Garden and more. Afil Games make fine, minimalist sokoban puzzles. If you are in the market for non-nonsense box-pushing, devoid of ideas and complicated mechanics, then this is a good option. The inclusion of a capybara only makes that option better. But if you want anything resembling ambition or innovation then you should probably find somewhere else to unwind. Capy Spa is more of the same, just furrier.”

Multiple Versions Available

Capy Spa launches in three separate versions on Xbox. There’s an Xbox Series X|S Optimised edition, an Xbox One version, and a Windows PC version, alongside its availability on PlayStation platforms.

Each Xbox version carries its own achievement list, something completionists and those hunting juicy Gamerscore may wish to keep in mind.

Steam, Strategy, And Satisfaction

At ÂŁ4.19, Capy Spa offers a bite-sized puzzle experience that focuses entirely on calm logic and quiet satisfaction. It may not push the boundaries of innovation. But sometimes, all you need is a capybara, a hot spring, and a puzzle solved at your own pace.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
