Currently sitting at over one million sales on PC, it’s safe to say that Medieval Dynasty – the immersive medieval survival game from Render Cube – is a pretty big deal. So much so that it’s now receiving its own console port, launching on Xbox and PlayStation, hitting Game Pass as it does, opening up this harsh world full of tiny villages and wild animals to even more players.

Releasing today on Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass and PS5 – this is purely a new-gen title – Medieval Dynasty throws you into Middle Ages Europe, kicking and screaming, as a young man looking to make a name for himself in the local community. Starting off a war refugee, alone and poor, the aim is to eventually show yourself to be a jack of all trades, capable of taking down threats to your village, and leading your community into a new dynasty – a medieval dynasty, if you will!

Back to basics, however. Whilst you are free to explore the world how you see fit, it may be a good idea to follow along with the main questline, if only so when you do encounter a massive bear or wolf for the first time, you have at least some idea how to defend yourself. Eventually you will have to brave the wilderness, scavenging for food and resources to keep yourself (and a potential family) fed, and build your own home. Crafting and upgrading your character is in order each and every day, seeing you work your way up the hierarchy. Soon you’ll be trading across the map, and even having meetings with the king!

“We are excited to now release Medieval Dynasty on console,” states Matthias Wünsche, CEO Toplitz Productions. “For us, it’s the biggest console release in the company’s history so far, and we’re eagerly awaiting fan feedback. The unique mix of genres in Medieval Dynasty was a great experiment for us, and we succeeded! Players enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in the game, which Render Cube combines with countless possibilities, freedom and survival elements.”

“Finally, the time has come! Medieval Dynasty will now take console gamers deep into the Middle Ages,” adds Damian Szymanski, CEO of Render Cube. “We look back on the challenging months in which we ported Medieval Dynasty to console with a lot of heart and soul. We did it for you, dear gamers! Let us take you away and discover what makes our game and its world so special for thousands of PC players! Have fun on your journey!”

That is… a lot. The decisions really are up to you regarding how you make your own adventure, and whether you stay local as a family man, or go out there and link up across the region. Medieval Dynasty hopes to be there with you, sitting on your games list, begging to be played for months to come. Perhaps it will rival the likes of Kingdom Come: Deliverance for the most intricate historical title out there!

On Xbox Series X|S, PS5 or PC, Medieval Dynasty can now be purchased on their respective storefronts. For Xbox, that’ll be the Xbox Store. You’ll find it on the Game Pass service too.

Game Description:

Europe in the early Middle Ages – nobles and clergy rule, and the trade between nations brings prosperity as well as envy, distrust and greed. Military conflict is everywhere, and entire continents are changing. In Medieval Dynasty, you take on the role of a young man who has fled from war and wants to take his fate into his own hands. From being alone, inexperienced and poor, you will develop into a master of many skills, a leader of your community and the founder of a dynasty that is meant to last and prosper for generations to come. Defending against wild animals while hunting for food, gathering resources, crafting equipment, building a house, erecting a bustling village and starting a family all contribute to a unique gameplay experience across many genres. Tough winters and unexpected events challenge your skills and dexterity as you strive to build your own legacy. You can choose to follow the main chapters, solve the questlines or just roam around and explore the vast medieval world – but be careful, as wolves or bears may try to take a bite out of you… Begin with the basics for your own survival, like hunting, farming and building yourself a home. Start a family and raise an heir. Entice others to live near and work for you, erect multiple buildings to transform your settlement into a vibrant village and ultimately a thriving dynasty that will reign for generations. A massive medieval 3D open world awaits… Be wary of harsh winters and unexpected events while honing your skills to go from a medieval survivor to the ruler of a dynasty. Grab your axe, hammer or hunting bow and craft your legacy!

I'm an avid gamer who will play pretty much anything... but stick an open world or adventure game in front of me and I'm more than happy.
