Over the course of a couple of decades, Catan has made a bit of a name for itself in the tabletop community. Now though it’s set to hit the virtual world as Dovetail Games and Asmodee Entertainment announce CATAN for Xbox and PlayStation.
Full details are still pretty thin on the ground, but Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players (and those on Series X|S and PS5 no doubt), will be excited to hear that Dovetail (they behind the recent Bassmaster Fishing 2022) and Asmodee are coming together to deliver them the ultimate CATAN videogame experience.
When it does arrive, we should expect to see the island of Catan emerging on the screen for an immersive game experience like no other. It’ll give you the chance to barter for resources, and place roads and settlements to claim single or multiplayer victory in the digital version of the world-famous award-winning tabletop game.
And as you would expect the digital tabletop version of CATAN will bring the power and functionality of games consoles and combine that with the mechanics and themes of one of the world’s greatest board games. Goes without saying, eh?
