2.5/5 Review

Sweet Home: Look & Find Collector’s Edition Review

On a purely functional level, Sweet Home: Look & Find Collector’s Edition is fine.

Herd Dispatch Review

We had a tower defence using these same maps in Dino Hex Trap, and now we’re getting a kind of flight-control sim in the form of Herd Dispatch. But while the tower-defence worked, this one doesn't. It’s too simple to maintain the attention, too unclear to be anything but bothersome.

Aleesha’s Tower Review

Aleesha’s Tower is something to while away forty minutes whilst it reminds you of better games from long ago.

Nitro City Racing Review

My advice is pretty simple: find yourself an emulator and play the true, original arcade experiences. You’ll be happier in the long-run (or Outrun).

Grand Vegas Casino Review

Grand Vegas Casino is cursed in much the same way that other video game casinos are cursed.

Aery: Titans of the Future Review

If we had to glide Aery: Titans of the Future into a hierarchy of Aery games, it would land somewhere in the middle.

Lucha Align Review

Lucha Align makes that critical mistake. It’s a shape-sorting game that adds the shapes, throws in some sorting, but then neglects to include stakes.

Lonely Guardian Review

Any memory of Lonely Guardian will puff away immediately, even while you’re playing. It’s so easy, short and uncomplicated that it will barely touch the sides.

King of Ping Pong: MEGAMIX Review

King of Ping Pong: MEGAMIX reminds of those days of going to the arcade, where something brash and loud would entice us into dropping coins. But like those times, this is an incredibly hard game and anything resembling fun becomes a struggle. Nail it though, and you’ll gain a proper sense of achievement.

Too Many Santas! Review

While Too Many Santas! is a cutely ramshackle visual novel, it’s also about as sexy and funny as a Christmas Cracker joke.

StarLightRiders: HyperJump Review

StarLightRiders: HyperJump does what it sets out to do - it is a fast paced arcade shooter, and while it is very much a case of “it does what it says on the tin”, there isn’t too much drive to keep plugging away. If you want a rock hard shooter, then have at it, but there are better entries in this genre to choose from.

Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club Review

75 years is a hell of an achievement, but Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club is not the way to celebrate it.

Wreckreation Review

Wreckreation feels a bit like a budget Burnout.

Wizordum Review

Unfortunately, I couldn’t shake the feeling that if Wizordum halved its runtime, adding interactive environments that complemented the various weapons and spells, there could’ve been something special here. But as it stands Wizordum provides little more than what a 90’s shooter could, thirty odd years ago.

Tiny Lands – Deluxe Edition Review

For a relaxing, chilled out game you can probably stick a podcast on to play, Tiny Lands – Deluxe Edition is worth a look.

Cats and Seek: Osaka Review

Even taking the super low asking price into account, Cats and Seek: Osaka is a hidden cats game that is seriously low in content.

Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection Review

As a collection and a retrospective anthology of Bubsy games, Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection ticks all the boxes.

Minos Dungeon Review

Minos Dungeon is unlikely to offend you, at times even able to provide some enjoyable gameplay, yet a few sokoban sins, paired with the knowledge that each ounce of fun is lifted from a predecessor, leaves this one bordering on just average.

Collie Call Review

Collie Call has some good ideas for its Sokoban puzzling, but fails to do anything worthwhile with them.

Journey of Johann: Snowy Mountain Review

If your eyes are set on an indie platformer to give you a challenge, I’d recommend the likes of Celeste or Super Meat Boy. Had you played these, and only then, you might just find something in Journey of Johann: Snowy Mountain that is enjoyable.
