Die After Sunset Review

Die After Sunset is a roguelike shooter with a bit of a twist.

One More Dungeon 2 Review

One More Dungeon 2 isn’t the most demanding game.

DARKGEMS Review

Treat DARKGEMS as two hours of laid-back, ASMR mining, and there’s gold in the seams.

Tiny Tales: Heart of the Forest Review

Tiny Tales: Heart of the Forest shows promise.

Sunny Café Review

Visual novel fans, however, can be reassured that Sunny Café is one of the good ones.

Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space Review

Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space remains a charming, funny and downright weird adventure, many years after the original release. Despite a few niggles, the new polish means there’s never been a better time to dust off your magnifying glass and attempt to crack the case.

Fast & Furious: Spy Racers Rise of SH1FT3R Review

Coming from the same publisher as Blaze and The Monster Machines: Axle City Racers, which did such a poor, hollow job of bringing karting to younger players, it’s a joy to play something so substantial and well crafted in Fast & Furious: Spy Racers Rise of SH1FT3R.

White Shadows Review

If you were ever put through the wringer by Inside or Limbo, and fancy climbing through again, then White Shadows will duly oblige. It’s a magnificent lightshow.

Beyond a Steel Sky Review

Beyond a Steel Sky verges on the impressive. However, the puzzles can occasionally feel over-complicated at times and there are moments where the game does get a bit saggy narrative-wise; especially in the middle section. But the new 3D world, the great visuals, and the new hacking mechanics certainly make up for some of the negatives.

Clone Drone in the Danger Zone Review

Clone Drone in the Danger Zone does what it sets out to do, all by not taking itself too seriously, and by keeping bouts short and sweet. Dobrog Games have made a game that is great for short blasts and so if you like robots, fighting or robots fighting, it’s certainly worth a look.

Rune Factory 4 Special Review

Xbox owners are in for a treat with Rune Factory 4 Special. A masterwork of an RPG, this is a game you can easily spend real-life days playing away. A perfect fit for fans of Rune Factory and Animal Crossing, as well as an exciting action JRPG for fans of old-school Zelda, there is something in this game for everyone. While the port from 3DS to Xbox isn't exactly the most graceful, after a few hours, it's unlikely you will care.

Drizzlepath: Deja Vu Review

For the hour it runs, Drizzlepath: Deja Vu is enjoyable. It does nothing to test you gameplay-wise, and fails to provoke any deep meaning in what is trying to be said. But I do believe these games are important to have - narrative adventures that blend exploration and artistic vision.

Grim Dawn: Definitive Edition Review

The gameplay is the real hook here and it'll definitely have you coming back again and again. In fact (and we should whisper this), the gameplay found in Grim Dawn: Definitive Edition is more preferable than that of the recent remake of Diablo II: Resurrected.

Circa Infinity Review

Circa Infinity is what more platformers should strive to be like. It’s not just a redundant push through the same kind of puzzles. Each puzzle is well thought out, the difficulty doesn’t fluctuate randomly, and there is a real feeling of satisfaction each time you overcome an obstacle. If you want a platformer that’s going to force you to think and act quickly, then Circa Infinity is a must have.

Mastho is Together Review

Mastho is Together has all the hallmarks of a great precision platformer. Consistently challenging gameplay, solid level design and tight controls make for a game where your reactions and patience will be thoroughly tested from start to finish. Ultimately though, it’s nothing you haven’t seen before, and it does absolutely nothing to stand out from the crowd.

LEGO Builder’s Journey Review

The journey may be short – lasting only a couple of hours – but LEGO Builder’s Journey proves that LEGO games don’t need to descend into silliness and collectathons to be enjoyable. Here is one of the most emotionally impactful stories in gaming in 2021, and it is done through the medium of LEGO in a very special way. LEGO Builder’s Journey is a huge tangent from what has been before, but it is also one of the best ever LEGO games.

Football Manager 2022 Xbox Edition Review

Whatever your management style, Football Manager 2022 Xbox Edition has your back. It’s one of the most adaptive and slickly designed simulations out there, full stop. Kick around in its shallows or dive down deep, and they both feel as satisfying as the other.

Path of Giants Review

When you’re on the hunt for a puzzle game, you kind of have to know what type in particular could satiate your needs. Are you after a real challenge that will force you to think outside of the box and beyond, or something more easy-going to just keep your mind ticking over and fill some time? If it’s the latter, then developers Journey Bound Games might just have the game for you in the form of their serene puzzling adventure, Path of Giants. That’s assuming Path of Giants lives up to its promise of delivering a calming experience, of course.

Farming Simulator 22 Review

Farming Simulator as a franchise just gets better with every new release and that’s the case with Farming Simulator 22. The purists and experts might argue that this hasn't gone far enough, adding in just a few new features, but with cross-play multiplayer, the brilliant seasonal farming, and supply chains coming to console, there is certainly enough to keep those winter evenings flying by.

Detective Di: The Silk Rose Murders Review

We can’t be the only ones who have a hankering for an old-school graphic adventure, one that takes the genre as seriously as Sierra Online did thirty years ago. Detective Di: The Silk Rose Murders does that and more, delivering one of the most sensual and adult examples of recent years. Pssht, Sherlock has nothing on Magistrate Di Renjie.
