Looking back over a lifetime of playing games, and racing games in particular, I am moved to consider which were the best that I have ever played. I'm going to be platform blind on this, largely because I didn't have an Xbox until the 360 came out, so many games I played were on the other consoles that were available. Xbox’s backward compatibility program has been unanimously praised this generation for allowing gamers to play and keep games that would’ve otherwise been lost in time. Especially now, when the first two games have been remade to critical acclaim. Cuisine Royale is one such joke spawned from an April Fool’s Day surprise, however should you spend just a little time with the kitchen themed adventure will find that Cuisine Royale not only brings a serious amount of comedy value, but also a more than capable Battle Royale experience.
There is nothing wrong with running multiplayer only and of course, as with Battle Royale games on the market currently you can see that many excel, but I wanted to talk about a few FPS games from the last few years that in my opinion have great examples of single player modes and why I feel they are still important.
