Winter has arrived in Mexico - and the world of Forza Horizon 5. And so the usual Weekly Challenges found in the Festival Playlist events have switched up.
It is supposed to be Spring outside my window, and yet the weather looks a lot more like Autumn. This is a handy link to the new season of Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges of Forza Horizon 5 - Series 31 Autumn.
Christmas has always been thought of as a time for giving, but even though the holiday celebrations are just around the corner, it's not quite time for us to be expecting great gifts. But as November 2018 rolls around, that is exactly what the team at Xbox HQ are giving us with the free Xbox One and Xbox 360 Games With Gold titles. But are they actually any good? Will you want to play them? By golly, yes!
It’s the run up to the festive season - but who wants to wait until Christmas to play the latest and greatest games on Xbox One?! Certainly not us, and most likely not you, so sit back, relax, and take in our picks for the most exciting games releasing on Xbox One throughout November 2018.
Looking back, it’s easy to call this a genre-defining game by being a standout Fallout title, and a standout open-world game. It paved the way for a new generation of open-world titles and introduced a whole new market to the Fallout brand. For many, this was their first Fallout title, but it wasn’t their last.
This week, we're pretty consumed with our excitement over Red Dead Redemption 2, as we dig into the reviews of the game and some of the details about it that make it so special. We talk about whether this will be the game of the generation, and whether or not The Game Awards will even be necessary this year after Rockstar's newest release.
It's that time of the year once again; it's time to play some nerve-tingling horror games. Actually, it's always a good time to play horror games, but now there's a valid reason to scream off the top of your lungs, keep all of the lights in the house on, and check under the bed before sleep.
To celebrate the upcoming festivities, this Halloween list compiles 10 horror games from multiple generations and gaming platforms. Enjoy!
Allow me to begin by saying this - I’m in no way an enthusiast of digital media. I used to be the guy who passionately advocated the superiority of physical games while having Olivia Newton John’s hit song playing in the background. Like many, I grew up at a time when neatly boxed games with colorful artworks and thick manuals were the only option. Receiving a highly desired game for Christmas, unwrapping it and inhaling that factory-fresh smell, is probably something only a handful of people outside of the hobby would not find disturbing.
It comes as no surprise that this week's news was dominated by the highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2. Most of the news was great for the game and for its developer Rockstar, but some wasn't.
2018’s most talked about video game is Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2. Any studio that has its property anywhere near Red Dead’s October 26 release date should be wary. Not to mention the other massive franchises fighting for our dollars: Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Battlefield V, Fallout 76, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. There’s nothing wrong with having a vested interest in those titles, but there may just a few more games worth your time. These ones perhaps…
Since the moment we first laid eyes on Godzilla, there has always been a fascination with larger than life monsters; those as tall as skyscrapers and capable of causing destruction on a massive scale. From Godzilla to King Kong and even the Transformers, the years since have seen the game and movie industries amorously pushing these gigantic creatures onto our screens at every opportunity. More often than not we’ve lapped it up.
Should you be old enough to have enjoyed the delights of games such as War of the Monsters though, then you’ll already know just how much fun it can be to jump into a game controlling something capable of wide-spread destruction, and it seems the guys over at The Balance Inc. share those thoughts too… at least if their latest game Override: Mech City Brawl is anything to go by.
This week, we discuss the rumour that Microsoft is about to acquire Obsidian Entertainment. Does this move fill major gaps in Xbox's portfolio? We discuss our favorite Obsidian games and what the developer could bring to the Xbox family. Also, Microsoft announced that the beta for Project xCloud will begin sometime in 2019. What should we expect from the streaming service? Will streaming be the direction video game consoles go in the future?
Celebrating the upcoming 10th anniversary of the franchise, this article will take a brief look at what exactly made the original Dead Space so great and where the series ultimately fell apart.
Am I jumping forward in time to visualise what kids will be doing whilst waiting to go bowling (that’ll probably be in VR too) or in the Detroit: Become Human style shopping centres?
This week, we start off by giving our early impressions on the newly released Forza Horizon 4 - does it live up to our hopes and expectations? We discuss what we've played so far, along with some of our favorite features in the game. In news, the author of The Witcher is demanding $16 million from CD Projekt Red. We talk about whether the studio should pay the author more than he originally received for the rights to the franchise.
